Why?

Drummond is not going to be able to be a full-time Center.

He is a dinosaur.

He's only 28. Sorry to see him go. He provided a lot of valuable minutes and I wish he wasn't part of the deal. Not a huge loss, per se. But it was nice to have a backup that could put in 35-40 minutes when Embiid was out.

I guess it comes down to which player (Harden/Simmons) will integrate more efficiently with their team and what kind of playoff shape will these teams be in.

This is not 3 years ago Harden, this is lazy Harden who is a big enough malcontent to force his way off 2 teams in 2 years.

If they get an actual engaged Harden the trade is maybe a wash

It improves both teams. But if Simmons doesn't fix his free throw shooting, he will still be a problem in the playoffs.
