Let’s be fair…it all still comes back to Ben. Because Doc could have that same comment about most players in the league and it wouldn’t result in the end of a relationship the way it did here. Should Doc have played it differently? Absolutely. But you don’t get there without Simmons being the player in that mix. Any other guy and it gets worked out with a sit down and people come away ready to work with each other to get better. Simmons won’t even take that meeting.

I still think some down there are under the delusion that Ben will come back if he isn’t traded by the deadline. Man…careful what the fuck you wish for on that shit. Simmons in BKN seems like a perfect fit and possibly better especially with the other assets they acquire from Philly.

I’m gonna zig here when everybody else is gonna zag. I’m encouraged by the Harden development because this sends a message to these other teams of Oh Fuck Morey is gonna actually do it. And now those last few pieces they were hesitant to roll with they may push into the pot. It’s still probably going to be Harden because of the relationship with Morey but I would rather see them get those last pieces from the Kings.
