Maybe the way things play out, by the middle of 2024, Semien starts to take on DH duties more often than not and Foscue settles in at second base, with Smith in center field and Seiya Suzuki in left. Wendzel fills a Kiké Hernandez/Chris Taylor role while Duran does the same for Oakland, after being acquired as part of a deal for Matt Olson days after the lockout lifted in February 2022.

Give me Harris, Duran or Crim instead of Suzuki and I will be fine with this plan.

Who would be the defensive upgrade at 3B over Jung, who like Jung,, has a really good bat, and would give us a better starting infield than the one above?

I don't know enough about Jung's defense to make a judgment there, but based on what I've seen Seager is average at best

Maybe. The eyes test will tell. Of course all assumes we get an elite defensive SS at some point.
All this is extremely speculative and a big long shot

talking more about dudes who are out of the game for 5 years due to substance abuse and behavioral issues. I don't think many teams sign those dudes.
