I hope he drops the name of the player who taunted him in 2014. And the names of any player who said anything to him about it.

Kind of a difficult situation because it was an independent investigation and not a law enforcement investigation. The player's union would have lost their minds over mandatory involvement.

Won't have a chance once the subpoenas start rolling out. I hope the guy doesn't settle and fights it into court. Expose the full scale.
wasn't John Doe who got taunted in 2014 ... was "black ace 1"

I cannot wait for Subban to be off the Devils.

Not saying this for shock value, we're better without him. He's honestly a useless player at this point. Terrible in his own end, doesn't play physical (minus his slew foots), constantly flopping around on the ice, flubs all of his shots. Nothing he does at this point makes us a better team.

His fall from top tier NHLer to useless came really, really fast.

Flip side, it's nice to see Erik Karlsson playing at something resembling his old self early in the season.

Don Fehr should go down for this too ... the report detailed how the investigators had emails from back then of him being informed about what happened

From the interview:

The NHL is inclusive; the NHL includes everybody. And they let me down and they’ve let down others as well. But they continue to try and protect their name over the health and the well-being of the people who put their lives on the line every day to make the NHL what it is. I hope through and through that Gary Bettman takes this seriously and that he does his due diligence, that he talks to not only them, but Stan Bowman, John McDonough, and anybody else that has information to offer before he makes his decision. Because they already let me down, they wouldn’t investigate for me, so why would they now?

Really fuck Bettman even more and he should be removed from Commissioner now.

There's 32 owners who think otherwise and unfortunately that's all that matters.

So, how much would you expect an 11th overall pick to make in a career on average? What was potentially taken from him is the bare minimum settlement amount before they get into what damages they owe him.

That 2 million dollar fine was and is still ridiculous. There has to be major consequences for the Blackhawks in addition to Coach Q and Chevy.

You mean 31 teams since he owns one of them. :)

Seriously that is the reality and there ultimately is no consequences for all that went on.

how do you even compute that ... bring in the actuaries i guess ? A friend told me last night that Beach retired and was going to coach a kids spring hockey team in vancouver but as the interview detailed he is now playing 3rd division german league hockey

I must say though, Kyle Beach had a reputation of being a head case and a trouble maker. He admits in the interview he did stupid stuff .. of course most of it caused by the self medicating he was doing to deal with the shit that happened to him.

I wonder how much the hockey machine played a role in making sure Kyle Beachs bad reputation stuck with him so he would just go away

Oh I bet he was. There were a few seasons he played well enough to be called up and wasn’t.

Rough estimate, And fuck you for making me do head math,

About 10,000,000-14,000,000.

More if he was a grinder type player

Maybe the Canucks select him instead of Cody Hodgson if it weren't for that bad reputation back in junior?
