“black ace 1” appears to be easily identifiable as well from the report.

And if you assume that the former blackhawk player who chased black ace 1 around ice in a game calling him the f word :
A)played on the 2010 cup winning team and B)called him the f word in an nhl regular season game in calendar 2014 then here is the list of suspects

Brian Campbell (x3)
Troy Brouwer (x2)
Andrew Ebbett
Dustin Byfuglien
Andrew Ladd
Adam Burish

I never put any thought into who Black Ace 1 could be. I’ll have to take a look.

As for that list Burish to me seems the most likely to do something like that

I thought for sure it was dave bolland before i looked at it but he never played a game v player ace 1 in 2014

And if it was in the NHL and not the AHL in 2014 that would eliminate Andrew Ebbett because the nine games he played for the Penguins in '13-'14 none were against the Blackhawks.

did it say 2013-14 in the report? I thought i only saw 2014 mentioned and ebbett played in a game v the guy in the 2014-15 season in 2014 (calendar 2014)

Yeah not sure but looking at the game logs Ebbett's game against the Blackhawks was in 2015.
And if it is the player who I am guessing it is, Ebbett didn't play against the other team he played for that season. And he didn't play for that other team until 2015 anyway.

I wasnt assuming black ace 1 guy was still with the hawks in 2014 … but now that you bring that up i guess it could be a second different guy than who i thought (who wasnt one of the black aces called up from rockford when their season ended)

It's a catch -22. You redact any part of it and people start screaming that it was altered and you're hiding something. You put all the info in it and people try and figure out every person you should try to protect. It's not like they could seal this as a court document. It was an independent investigation.

It's not like they will be able to keep the identity a secret forever, especially if players start facing consequences. It will get out.
