Let's just say, from Ted Williams to Chris Woodward, I have never heard a Rangers managers overhype a player to the extent Woody does. He is in a whole different stratosphere than any other Rangers manager, or even any front office member.

Two years ago, after spring training, Chris said he thought Matt Davidson could be an elite hitter. He seems to overhype players to a great degree.

Matt Davidson has only had 43 big league at bats since Woodward said that. He hit .163 in those 43 AB.

I think Woody suffers from a great deal of poor judgment himself.

I meant within the FO circle. Woody says things to make himself shine and make others feel better about their negative decisions.
Some may refer to it as kissing a--.
