So apparently Gurley isn't even a better option than Ty'Son Williams now. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
NFL reported Josina Anderson said the Ravens aren't "expected to pursue Todd Gurley, at this time."
Gurley visited with the Ravens in June, fueling speculation that the team could sign him after losing J.K. Dobbins to a season-ending knee injury. Anderson reports the Ravens are comfortable with their running back depth chart, which now features Gus Edwards at the top and preseason star Ty'Son Williams as the No. 2 RB. Edwards' ADP will rocket into the fourth or fifth round of 12-team drafts following Dobbins' injury.
His knees are shot dont blame them. Plus since they have a RB playing QB they dont need to heavily invest at that position IMO.

Rams ate so much money on that deal...if his knees could hold up to an NFL season again, no way they would've cut him. By my estimations, the Rams will finally start to have a little cap space around the same time they make another 1st round pick......
@Bandit - I like the Ty'Son move over Hill, I think this is the proper 'zig' to everyone's initial 'zag' when evaluating in-house options for Ravens RB2. Hill's been given a shot, and hasn't done anything yet to prove he's earned anything more than a few touches per week. Could totally see them just roll with the grinders at RB and dare DC's to bring everyone to the line.
Hill is a better fit for the passing game work but who wants the pass catching RB on the Ravens???
Those glory days were Flacco-ball, that's not the game LJax plays.
I will only point out that "the Ravens are comfortable with their running back depth chart" was the exact words we heard, verbatim, out of the Rams camp for a month after Akers injury. Then they traded for Michel. Granted, the Ravens could stick any random douche-canoe back there and with defenses focusing on Lamaar running, the guy will be successful, while the Rams do actually need someone with talent (no idea why its Michel though given that requirement, but that's a different conversation).
So..I'll buy it once I've seen it.
As is, given the most recent blurbs, I would have to agree %100.highly doubt they are happy with the current active depth chart, but that doesn't change my thought that Ty'Son is the current RB on their roster to target in fantasy behind Gus Bus, as it stands today.

Seems likle another power back at 6' 220 I haven't heard anything about his catching abilities which likely means he isn't strong in that department. If Hill doesn't play on passing downs the Ravens might as well cut him.highly doubt they are happy with the current active depth chart, but that doesn't change my thought that Ty'Son is the current RB on their roster to target in fantasy behind Gus Bus, as it stands today.

I'm not sure that outside of the 2 minute drill or comeback mode, that there are "passing downs".Seems likle another power back at 6' 220 I haven't heard anything about his catching abilities which likely means he isn't strong in that department. That is a bit of a surprise. Have to see how Jones does in regular season play, before I give the other position players a bump myself. However trade value for those players likely just got a nice bump.Patriots released QB Cam Newton.
The Mac Jones era begins in New England after the team's shocking release of Newton, who drew continuous praise from head coach Bill Belichick during his sting with the team. The unvaccinated Newton missed a critical week of joint practices after a COVID-19 testing mixup prevented him from entering the team facility. Jones then took all the Pats' first-team reps and perhaps established himself as the unquestioned starter. Jones will head into the regular season without the threat of Newton taking goal line carries -- a boon for both Jones, Damien Harris, and the rest of the team's skill position players.
1st surprise of cut downs. I mean I agree with them completely because I think Cam is terrible, but definitely unexpected. I think this bumps the value of all Patriot skill guys especially the running backs since the #1 touchdown vulture is now gone.
