Winston officially wins the QB competition in New Orleans.

Good news for Saints WR's, I'm not sure what it does for Kamara, as Winston is not a guy who likes to check down all that much, and would rather throw 50/50 balls into coverage, and surely there will be plenty of designed Kamara throws to keep him going, but his days of 100+ targets and 80+ receptions are likely over.

Surely Winston isn't going to lead as efficient of an offense as Brees did, which is a bigger problem for the Saints W/L record than it is for us fantasy types because he sure does feed his WR's tons of fantasy points.

Why?

For both...

I assume Flacco is out the door in Philly...but still...why? And is CJ Beathard the back up you want?

Eagles acquired QB Gardner Minshew from the Jaguars for a conditional sixth-round pick.​

The trade comes a few days after the Jaguars made Trevor Lawrence their Week 1 starter. It's a good landing spot for Minshew, with Jalen Hurts one of the shakiest starters in the league. The Minshew trade suggests Nick Sirianni, who made Hurts compete with Joe Flacco this offseason, isn't sold on him as his quarterback. Jacksonville's sixth-round return for Minshew can become a fifth-round pick if he plays 50% of snaps in three games. The Eagles released third-string QB Nick Mullens to make room for Minshew.

I don't get it either unless they really aren't convinced that Hurts is an NFL caliber quarterback.

If Minshew was traded to Philly to compete with Hurts, the Jags would've gotten more than a 6th round pick for him.

My best guess is that since Urban Meuer thought it was such a great idea to manufacture a competition between Minshew and Lawrence, that the lower had to leave.

I lose just a little bit more faith that Urban Meyer has a successful NFL career, every day

Hendo fer a 16th was a lock IMO..........then along comes Sonny MiCher
Damien Harris fer a 19th was my next choice but the Rook looks really good.
AB fer a 19th was surely up there when it looked like TB would move away from Godwin..............
Now Gus the Bus fer a 19th could be the best of the bunch..................damn.

Gus and hendo imho plus both should be playoff teams. Ab on ppg basis in ppr was like 17th maybe, cant fault using him

Well shit...I had totally forgotten that a month ago it seemed like a done deal Gurley was coming to Baltimore, but it never materialized. I'll bet that changes soon, and the mad rush on Gus won't bear substantial fruit until week 8 or so when Gurleys knees give it
