Today we have foreign born players winning MVP awards.

It isn’t close.

And yes, this year’s team, as flawed as it is would mop the floor with the competition the Dream Team beat. And while the Dream Team would surely win gold today, it wouldn’t be nearly as easy as it was in 1992.

He is right to a point.

Anybody who knows how to play team basketball and understands spacing and movement can show up on a court and play well with 4 other knowledgeable players.

The reason the chemistry isn’t great is because guys are playing different roles than they are used to and maybe are uncomfortable playing off the ball.

Poor roster construction and highly ball dominant play for some of these guys are negatively impacting the team result.

The talent on this team is enough that lack of playing together shouldn’t matter. It does because some of the players don’t know how to play lesser roles. High basketball IQ players should be able to quickly adjust to new roles.
