The NFL didn't screw us or shortchange us. Only way to change our fortune of having a first week bottom feeder is to become a good team again. When you are a good team, there are lots of teams that seem like bottom feeders. We need to change us. First step is opening night.

NFL just love to screw us. For once I would like to open with a bottom feeder.
Normally i couldn't care much less about the order of opponents but if this game were played midseason I think there would be a lot more Cowboy fans there. Now all the Tampa fans will want to be there to celebrate the SB. Also, they basically returned their whole teem so while they will be in midseason form we'll be learning a defense and who will start where against a QB who will be looking at exposing any miscommunication or mistakes...

So ... “buzz”? Sure. Of course, a lot of Cowboys games are about "buzz,'' as you can see by the opponents ... a bit below without soon-to-be-announced dates and times ... but right here with what we pretty much know so far:

Week 1 at Bucs, Thursday, Sept 9

Week 2 at Chargers (different source)
- Week 6 at New England, Oct. 17

- Week 8 at Minn, Halloween on SNF

- Week 9 home Denver

- Week 12 home Raiders on Thanksgiving, Thursday

- Week 13 at New Orleans, Thursday

- Week 15 at NYG Week

- Week 16 home WASH on Sunday Night Football

- Week 18 at Eagles

Not sure I'm going to go to a game this year. I'm a little more conservative than most I guess about being in a building with 90,000 people

The BIL was bound and determined that if the Raiders game was early, he wanted to go.

Sounds like it won't be early. And I'll guarantee his mom isn't signing off on him not being there for Thanksgiving. So we'll see what his Plan B is.

The opener looks like an L waiting to happen. Hard to beat both Brady and the stinking refs who seem to coddle Brady. Plus it may take the defense a few games to jell. Course you get Dak and the entire OL back they have a chance. Plus Brady is one hit away from retirement.

Have you seen most of our opening game oppenents. We are usually on the road against a tough opponent.

It is the timing of it for me as well.

Yep. Wanna change perceptions? There’s a pretty good way to do it. Remember Opening night in 1992? No one knew how good that team was going to be and going up against the Super Bowl champs was a good way to find out. By halftime... it was pretty clear. I was sitting in Section 18. It was a fun night.

Yep I remember that game. It was at that moment you just knew they had taken a giant leap forward. Maybe the Cowboys rookie draft class just puts this team closer . If I am coach I start Parsons,Joseph,Osa and Cox right away. Cox is going to be a playmaker .

This is not 1992's team. We have not won an opening game on the road since 2009. That is terrible.

My BIL & I walked out of Texas Stadium pretty pumped that night. There was a lot to like. And even when the Iggles pasted our heroes in Philly a few weeks later, you had a sense that that team was going to be alright. Hope we get that same feeling after they leave Tampa.

Tough stretch of road games at end. Hope the last game does not matter.

I guess I am in the major minority here.
If we have to play the Superbowl Champs. I would rather do it at the start of the season vs. Later in the season.

Right now with no tape on us. Dak back (but there is film) & our Defense whether good or bad will be 100% different than before. (no film)
We are huge questions marks in all areas right now. I think we have a better chance to upset them in week 1 or 2 than we do in week 9 or 10.
