The reason this division never gets repeat winners is because there has not been 1 dominant team. They are all average to below average.
So the average team with the 1st place schedule struggles, while the team with the last place schedule grabs a few extra easy wins.
WFT has that first place schedule this year. Unfortunately, I would be very surprised if we can repeat even though I do expect the team to be better.
I think this is partially true. It’s been a while since there was a dominant team in the division.
I think all teams, with the exception of the eagles, have made some progress towards becoming a better, more consistent team. To
me, the Giants have improved the most, and the cowboys and WFT have improved the second most.
I think that a team needs consistency in all phases of its game, but especially on defense, in order for that team to be successful year in and year out.
To me, that means that though the Giants have improved the most, the team that is most likely to have sustained success is the WFT, due to its tremendous defense. If they shore up the LB position, and get consistent free safety play, they could be dominant this year.
All team try to improve on paper, but not all first place teams do. Some regres, some improve.
