Yeah, Pelicans are the only team that can make a run with Zion playing the way he is. It's sort of interesting how the Kings and Rockets imploded. Kings started out looking good, hit a skid, but then looked like they rebounded some only to completely fall on their face. Luke Walton is the next coach to get fired. They should not be that bad. They should be in that group fighting for a shot. And Houston just looks like they gave up. They rallied around the Harden stuff but once that wore off, everything fell apart after Wood got hurt.

What do the Kings have though?

Fox is pretty good.

After that? Their best players are quality role guys. Not equipped to be 2nd and 3rd options. Fox isn’t equipped to be a #1 option.

If they were in the East, they should be a playoff team. In the West though? That roster isn’t going to cut it.

Team LeBron

Giannis, Steph, Luka, Jokic, Lillard, Simmons, Paul, Brown, George, Sabonis, Gobert

Team KD

Irving, Embiid, Leonard, Beal, Tatum, Harden, Booker, Zion, LaVine, Vucevic, Mitchell

Like LeBron's team better. Irving already put out a statement saying KD's a better leader than LeBron. Expect the score to be something like 158-150. Very litte D, as usual. And a bunch of dunks. Just another glorified practice. But I'll be watching anyway.

Gobert and Mitchell being picked last is kind of interesting.....

Why? Sabonis was the last to make the team and defense is a bad habit in the all star game

I think the A.S. games were better back in the 80's & 90's.
They used to actually play for real back then at least in the 4th quarter

Draymond Green was at the height of his abilities and was an elite player in the 2015-2016 season where the GSW won a record number of regular season (emphasis on regular season) games.

he was a top defender.

He averaged 14 pts, 9.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.4 blocks, 1.5 steals per game. he shot 49% from the field, and 38.8% from 3. He was 26 years old and in his prime.

Right now Draymond Green is 31 years old.

He is averaging a career low (besides his rookie season) 5.7 pts. per game, 6.1 rebounds per game (his lowest total since his sophomore season in 2013/14), and a career high 8.6 assists per game. his blocks are a career worst 0.7 per game (besides his rookie year).

he is shooting 39.1 from the field, and 23.7% from 3. Those numbers make him easily the worst shooting PF in the game.

when you see rebounds and blocks, and shooting percentage consistently decline- that is a concrete sign of a loss of athleticism.

i loved watching Draymond play at MSU. He fell in the draft because of his lack of elite athleticism. Most athletes reach their peaks around 26- where they still have elite athleticism, but have learned the game and now how to play. Draymond was never the greatest athlete to begin with, which makes his loss of some of what he had all the more noticeable.

Going by functional power forwards (where guys mostly play)- id say i would take draymond over the following starting power forwards in the NBa right now:

-Daniel Theiss- BOS
-Lauri Markenen- CHI
-PJ Washington- CHA
-Rui Hachimura- WAS
-Kelly Olnyk- MIA
-Paul Milsap- DEN
-Jarred Vanderbilt- MIN
-Darius bazley- OKC
-Royce ONeal- UTAH
-Marvin Bagley- SAC
-Max Kleber- DAL
-PJ Tucker- HOU
-Keldon Johnson- SAS
-if i was trying to win now- id take Draymond- but id much rather have JJJ from Memphis
-Jae Crowder of PHX

he is just about a league average starting PF at this point.

It's probably taken him a while to shake those lingering effects. Draymond had a similar issue and only had his conditioning back the last month or so.

Glad to see Jimmy at his peak though. Like to see all the best players, at their best.

They didn't play any defense back then either. It just wasn't the clear the lane out nonsense we see today.

Looks like the Pistons and Blake are parting ways. Curious to see if anyone even wants Blake at this point even for a low salary.

Blake could still help a lot of teams as a backup big. He's still an excellent passer even though his athleticism has been shot. All the top contenders should still kick the tires on him.

I remember they would tighten up and play sort of for real late in the game, not like playoff level intensity but sort of regular season game in January level. Defense was less complicated back then too.

Another ignorant post. I get that Draymond is less traditional to understand his value but I thought you were knowledgeable? Maybe not.

I'll give a hint, he's not a power forward at all except on defense. On offense he's a pass first point guard
