There's a difference between contributing and replacing 2 of the top 3 players on your roster. The depth is more for replacing guys like Kuz, Harrell and KCP. Not Lebron, AD or Schroder and especially not 2 of them.

Well, it appears they signed Damian Jones to a 10-day today, was cut from the Suns earlier this week. Young, athletic 6'11 250ish big, hasn't stuck anywhere yet. Had questions about his focus coming out of college.

A little more info to support the case for the development of SGA. Only 4 other players in their 3rd season have ever averaged 20, 5 and 5 and shot 50 %. The names are Oscar Robertson, Walt Frazier, Larry Bird and Chris Weber. He leads the league in drives per game at the moment, just watch his assists skyrocket as the Thunder add players. I stand by my prediction.

Not impossible, but he still has a long ways to go to get there.

And the West is absolutely stacked.

With guys that have not done some things he has done. We will see, I like his chances.

Warriors with the #1 defense in the NBA over the last 15 games. And adding Klay next year, pretty good FA pickup.

The Oubre criticism was warranted. Even though he's shot much better the last month plus he's still only at .318 from 3. He was that bad the first six weeks plus or so

He's made a complete 180 from earlier in the season. I think it should've been expected that he would eventually start shooting closer to his career percentages (which is 33%), but February has been remarkable. I just checked out his numbers for February. 13 games so far. 34 threes made on 78 attempts, so he is shooting 44% on threes so far this month and averaging 2.6 made 3's per game.

He's leading the team in February in 3%. Who cares about the first 6 weeks?

Well, you should.

He is a streaky shooter.

Another month like January could be right around the corner.

I guess I'll take it if he can have months where he shoots 44% from three. His shooting form actually looks solid, so I have pretty good confidence when he shoots. I'm not worried about Oubre's shooting. The real worry is Draymond. It looks like his shooting will never return. There are no streaks with him because it's always bad. I can't even call it a shooting slump anymore because it's been years since he was a good shooter and it's hit rock bottom this year.

Probably need to buy him out

I like the kid, and wouldn't bother me if he reached the levels you are predicting. Couple things, though. First, sure his assists might come up if more talented players but maybe his rebounds (or even scoring) come down?

Or all 3.

If OKC gets more talent around him, maybe he isn’t even the best player anymore.

Is he a good stats on a mediocre team guy, or a true star leader who can elevate his team single handedly.

From what I have seen, I don’t think he projects as the latter.

I'm sure I've used stats like that (20, 5, 5) before but as mentioned can be a bit misleading. sure, it's great to be that high in all 3, but something wrong with, say, 26, 7 and 4?

I wouldn't be surprised if Sexton is in a small group of players who can shoot 48%, 40% with 23+ ppg and 4 apg (SGA in that group, too). Even in the East cannot see him as more than a borderline all star most seasons. Perennial is just another level.

Scoring is up. Lots of guys posting monster numbers.
