If OKC gets more talent around him, maybe he isn’t even the best player anymore.

Is he a good stats on a mediocre team guy, or a true star leader who can elevate his team single handedly.

From what I have seen, I don’t think he projects as the latter.

Time will tell, he is on a good path.

I'm sure I've used stats like that (20, 5, 5) before but as mentioned can be a bit misleading. sure, it's great to be that high in all 3, but something wrong with, say, 26, 7 and 4?

I wouldn't be surprised if Sexton is in a small group of players who can shoot 48%, 40% with 23+ ppg and 4 apg (SGA in that group, too). Even in the East cannot see him as more than a borderline all star most seasons. Perennial is just another level.

You left out the 4th, and likely the most important, shooting over 50 %. Feel free to throw out any stats you want, but I listed the other 4 guys that have done it in their 3rd year, Oscar, the Glyde, Bird and Weber is not bad company.

Yeah the way hes amped up his "triple double" game is impressive. He's so good at knowing when he needs to get his and when to get everyone else going.

Really should be an All Star again. Rona and a few games early on where he got hurt botched his stats a bit. Guy still has a like a 25 PER.

Looking like Dragic returing is already paying big dividends too.

If this team gets healthy, they're better than the team who made the finals last year IMO. We did not get this Kendrick Nunn in the bubble. He is playing like the ROY candidate he was most of last season. Herro already improved his game then if they can get Bradley back healthy to add another defender to the rotation. SCARY

Just need to find a way to address the starting PF situation. Acquire a 3 & D type of 4 and make Kelly the backup C.

Also, Duncan hasn't shot as good as hes capable of so if he gets on a streak that will open things up.

Heat played a total of 5 games with Butler, Herro, Dragic, and Bradley.

They're going to get even better when these guys can finally play together especially with the return of Kendrick Nunn

Interesting. Gay would be a solid add.

I didn't realize that the East is 3 teams and then a bunch at .500.

So even with the slow start they should lock up that 4/5 game pretty easy. And I like them to take down Philly if they stay the 1.
