Great defensive player, of course, and his playmaking on offense is impressive. He really can do it all except shoot.
He can score/shoot if he has too.....but right now this team even w/o Wiseman, Chriss, and more importantly Klay, still has a nice collection of shooters/scorers all things considered. He's definitely a difference maker when he's on the floor obviously.

Not a single lie was told

I'm not sure what he is expecting. If he pointed out some front offices do a shabby job compared to others in being considerate and professional in these regards, okay, I could see that. It's a business and not every awkward situation regarding the future of a player playing out publicly they have under contract will always be prevented.

I do agree with Draymond but if a guy is not putting in the effort and you can tell that player isn’t...he should be treated like a player that isn’t good enough to get playing time. Drummond looks at times like he has given up, sorry not playing a guy that doesn’t give full effort. Whether that is part of the reason they are sitting them and the team doesn’t want to say that bc of his trade value...who knows.

So if the Cavs were to get a top 3 pick and somehow end up with #1..they take Cade. They are kinda in a clusterfuck of guards AGAIN. Cade, Garland and Sexton. I mean I guess they could go Kuminga but it seems at this point Cade is the clear #1. They need a 2 way forward!!!

One of those 3 would need to be traded obviously

Seems like that has been said for the last 2 years now but kinda goes along with what Wiggy said at some point. Why trade a young, blossoming player on a rookie contract that probably isn’t worth a ton? Sexton would probably be the guy to go bc he doesn’t offer enough defensively from the 2 guard spot

There are coaches and there are players, all that needs to be said.

Not necessarily.

Garland could be a 6th man instant offense type. I think that would actually be a really good role for him long term.

I think this draft is one where you can draft for need as opposed to just taking the presumed #1. If they were to take Cade, they would likely need to look to trade Garland or Sexton to get what they need.

Mobley out of USC has started looking a lot better now that he has started being more assertive. He's 7 feet tall and athletic. Currently averaging 16.6 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 3.1 blocks per game, shooting 59% from the field and 30.4% from 3 (he'll need to work on that).

He'll need to bulk up a little (he only weighs 210 he should probably be more like 225-230). I was thinking that he needed another season in college, but over the last several games I've started to change my mind a bit. That would solve your 2 way forward issue and allow you to keep Garland and Sexton.

You always draft BPA when you're looking for a franchise changing player. Otherwise you take Marvin Bagley instead of Luka because you have Harrison Barnes already.

With respects to Blake Griffin, I think the Wizard should trade Russ for Griffin straight up.

Russ is obviously the better player at this stage in his career, but Griffin has 1 year less on the deal and if he picks up his option for next season (which he will), he'll be a very valuable trade asset with 39M in free cap space to a potential trade partner.

At worst his deal expires a year early, at which time the Wizards can make a genuine run at free agency to pair a significant star with Beal.

The Pistons can allow Russ to just go crazy and at the very worst he'll likely help to put some fans in the seats (when fans are allowed back).

Think it's win-win for both teams.

I'd be thrilled with that. But moreso I'd be thrilled if the Pistons could manage to continue to suck. The danger in adding Russ is they may actually win games.

This draft is basically guaranteeing Detroit a good chance at a franchise changing player.

So I know I'm arguing both sides but I do think it's an interesting proposal.
