The biggest change in hoops from a gameplay standpoint is the inability to iso a big. That was where Shaq thrived as teams still didn't adjust to the rule changes until later in the 2000s.

And also why the 2000s was one of the worst eras of NBA basketball.

Lots of ugly games. Teams hadn’t yet figured out how to be efficient offensively.

Too many today mistake great offense for bad defense. There is a lot of high level offensive basketball going on today. The 2000s was a lot of bad offense.

Because they never actually saw him play LMAO

LOL.

I guarantee I have watched him play more than you have.

You are one of those people that think you know what you are talking about, but don’t.

You don’t know basketball.

Yup, people talked like Billups was some huge 3-point threat during the Pistons championship run. He shot a good percentage, but averaged under 5 a game, a laughable number today. And we all freaked out about Raheed bombing away from 3, though his highest average was 5.4 3 attempts per game with the Pistons, a number no one would bat an eye at a PF chucking today.

Yeah. He would be instructed to shoot at least 7 or 8 today.

Although his 3 point percentage wasn’t great.

Interesting call, come to the NBA-specific board full of basketball obsessives who have been posting here for 10+ years every day about the NBA and try to flex.

Take the L and move on. You aren't levelled up enough to post here.
Piss off dude. Youre the biggest liberal on here and apparently a kiss ass to boot. If their opinion is Shaq wouldn't be as dominant today that's fine, but for you to come and kiss their ass to try and get in where you fit in is hysterical. 10 years of posting or no, most basketball experts worldwide would laugh in their face over that take. But it's just their opinion, not a pathetic butt kiss session like you just posted

He's not really good peeps, no. But if he understands the game he hasn't shown it here.

Your first insult is he is a liberal (as if it is even an insult)!? As if political affiliation has anything to do with baskeball, or sports, knowledge in general?
People take it far too personally when people have differnt opinions than theirs.

It was, because that troll posts negatively on every non liberal on the politics thread. I think their opinions about Shaq are beyond absurd but to each his own

I know more about the game than you ever will. They are arguing that a prime Shaq wouldn't be dominant in todays game. That is so absurd I can't even speak to it. You...just a troll

Thanks for that Brother. I don't spend much time on this site anymore because everything is a political shit show these days, both ways. Have made some lifelong friends over here though.

Your opinion on Shaq today and ours isn't that different. We agree he would still be a major force. But because of how differently the game is played today, he would not be AS MUCH of a dominant force. In his era, for his brief prime (since he didn't work very hard) Shaq was the most dominant force in the entire game.

The game is different now. This isn't hard dude. There's a reason no one plays like Shaq in the NBA anymore.

Your knowledge of my political stance is about as solid as your knowledge of how today's game works.
