Nah, it's just how humans are wired. We all look nostalgically back on life and the best years are from 10-25 because you're young and healthy and have no responsibilities and your whole life ahead of you. The 15 year olds today will tell the kids in 30 years how great the NBA was NOW.
You’re so f n wrong it’s scary.
Right, they would have played for free back then. Jesus that's a stupid comment.
You’re wrong on so many levels I don’t even know where to begin.

have you ever had a conversation with any pro baller that played back in day ? That’s exactly what they would tell you! Is that they played for free! And, they would be happy to do it!

Today , these guys stand over a player when hurt, cause of their MEAL TICKET ! Years ago they’d stomp on you.

now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t ever want to see someone hurt. But, wake up!

God damn you're an idiot. But it's all good.

I mean there have been a ton of guys battling injuries that we don’t know about, also it’s why players’ careers last longer now. They want to prolong their career. So you are saying players were dumber back then basically lol
No I’m not! Players back then I no representative. The owners had it all. Lawyers got involved and turned it around for the athlete’s, which is a great thing. But now, they are taking advantage of it in many ways that are , let’s say, fans are showing less interest! Rating don’t lie

The NBA is far more popular now than in the 1980s bro.

Also, he acts like no player ever went on the DL back then
Lol, back then, you broke a bone , cast 4-6 weeks , 2 weeks later you were back on the field.

Today, you break a bone, out entire season!

Am I exaggerating this?

I would love to agree with you, but I can’t.

there is no real rivalry today!

One of these days your solipsism might ebb, and you will realize that you are you and not everyone thinks like you. In fact, I hope hardly anyone does.

Only here to share . Not here to try an alter ones mind , just to give a different perspective that’s all. I did experience a lot in sport.

Porter's problem isnt talent.

He is way more talented than any of those guys- by a mile.

he is just a nut job.
The point remains is that we all to a degree overvalue players respective to their potential. It just comes with the territory. Of course there’s a difference between being a blind homer and thinking everyone is amazing. For me those two instances were McCaw and Bell. Haven’t said anything about any others.

But you don't just say "well I liked how the game was back then" you just keep going and going with ever more dumb takes and exaggerations

Knicks defensive effort is really great. Warriors on a back to back but don’t think that’s really affecting them. Warriors just a step behind so far.
