Interesting Stat I just heard that Mahomes leads the league in..

16 - That's 16 DROPPED INTs.... 16 times he should have been picked and the defense dropped them. Wonder what the Chiefs record would be had those not been dropped

Yeah I didn't think it was right when I heard it but it is possible he could have had 16.

I am not trying to bash Mahomes either because he is a freak of nature and can do anything he wants

SIS has Mahomes down for 7, which imo is maybe overly generous but it's definitely not 16.

Great teams that go on long runs of winning a ton of games definitely need some luck involved..just part of sports in general.

The Browns have thrived on turnovers all year and if one comes their way they need to take advantage but they have to have the mindset Patty isn’t going to make many mistakes they just need to do everything right on their end to win this game. Gonna be very tough

It's definitely not equal and there do exist lucky QB's. There isn't any statistical validity here though. There's one that is getting counted (probably justifiably) that is 100% good process against the Bills with the defender's back being completely turned. That's just good process going bad and good play by the defender to make a diving attempt at the ball.

Strong sell on this stat without seeing what it says for about 30 other QB's and 20 years of data.

Is this stat that relevant? It depends when the INT is missed and its impact on game.

It's relevant, but it's pretty context dependent. Some QB's lose more "WPA" (win probability) than others when they throw their INT's. On the other end of the spectrum some will refuse to alter their play even if they are behind significantly.

10 point spread is too many, I only have Browns winning by 7

Are we also living in a world where the Chiefs aren't dropping passes? Because that would matter in this equation.

Also, many teams drop passes, so it evens out in the end. Unless, a team does it consistently over a prolonged period, because then they have other problems.

Agreed.

I do think the Chiefs had 2 lucky wins for sure. Probably lucky to play the Patriots without a QB. The Chiefs also rested their starters for a game and their two most impressive wins were against the Bills and Ravens.

The big question with the Chiefs is if their weaker players step up. Leveon Bell, Sorenson, Hardman and others will decide their fate at some point.

On paper neither defense really matches up with what the other team is doing. A Dorsey Bowl almost has to be high scoring. Let's just hope that bye week Andy Reid shows up and not clock management Andy Reid.
