Anyone could watch James Harden and see he is out there going through the motions.

Harden who is probably the best scorer in the league is avg just over 17 PPG in his last 5 games and is barely getting to the line. This is the guy who is probably the best in NBA history at creating contact and he actually had a game with 0 fta in 32 minutes of action. That is a major red flag
totally agree. great point on the FT's.

i just dont know what kind of deal makes sense for them.

i am looking at teams.

i dont think the Sixers want to basically hand him the franchise- because even with Embiid- with Harden and the ball always in his hands- thats what it would amount too

the Nets are just not much of a trade fit if you ask me.

do the Heat want to take that on? i honestly dont know. That might not be a bad fit since i think Jimmy would accept a lesser role and so would Bam- but does he fit the culture? and at least Herro and Precious, would have to be included plus a whole lot of mathcing salary. (iggy expring?).

if you think out of the box a little bit- would a team like the Raptors or Twolves think about making a move for him? The Twolves with no first rounder and the Raptors with little hope of attraciting a major free agent?

The Knicks? would have to at least trade Toppin AND or Barrett. i dont know

what do you guys think? where could you realistically see Harden be dealt for and what kind of package?

Oubre is a solid guy. He wasnt gonna shoot 15% from 3 all season. He is coming around and getting comfortable.

Pacers are a very solid team defensively- but with Oladipo not playing and Warren out for an extended period time- they really lack a lot of scoring punch.

do you like anyone on the Warriors bench?
That bench has already won at least two games for them, Paschall is terrific in his role, Lee, Looney, even randoms like Wannamaker and Bazemore

This team is a 6-7 seed team but with play I have no doubt they are contenders

Philly is the easiest deal to make and is a much easier fit. They have the shooters needed to surround Harden in Green and Curry then they also have another top 10ish player in Embiid on the roster.

The Heat is harder because of the culture fit and most importantly, they don't want to include both Herro and Robinson

we may have competing definitions of "very good".

as an overall unit- i dont know many benches in the NBA that have less talent.
true-

but just the Heat for instance---- you guys have Dragic and Olnyk- real NBa players on the bench....a very nice prospect in Precious

The Cavs for instnace- in a month or so will have Exum, Nance and Osman coming off the bench.

im just clicking on a few random teams---

Even a team like the Kings have Cory Joseph, Haliburton, Bjelica coming off the bench.

The Pels- have Redick and Hart , Hayes on the bench.

they just dont have 6th or 7th guys--- they might have a couple 8th guys. There are other teams that are weak on the bench- no doubt..but not many that just lack legitmate NBA talent. I mean- thats the trade off when 4 guys are making about 24M or more (some way more)

Philly need to realize they're never winning a title with Ben Simmons as the #2. As a #3? Possibly but I would pull the trigger so fast if I'm Phlly.

Ben Simmons is content with the player he is which is a top 20 type of player. He can be a borderline top 5 player if he actually made an attempt to expand his game

i dont know how valuable robinson is right now considering he is an FA at the end of the year and will get a huge raise

i mean- hes valuable on your team- i just dont know if hes valuable as a trade piece. you trade for him- you gotta give him at least 3 years 60 (prob. more than that- one website that i was quoting from the other day said he could get 4 years like 90).

and Morey is obviously the GM there and would have a good feel for it.

Morey knows he has that deal in his pocket if he wants. The fact that he hasnt taken it yet either tells me he doesnt have interest- or he thinks Harden's value will continue to drop. But there isnt a world where he doesnt have to trade simmons also....so i dont know...itll be interesting to see.

at 8-4--- and Harden at 31 with a lot of miles and Simmons at 24 and a lot of potential still- theres def. quite a bit of risk there.

it would be interesting i will say that.

Which is why they have been very good. They have less talent than most benches yet their production has been, again, very good.

Warriors bench the leaders in efficiency and defensive efficiency. Also 4th in scoring.

Well rumors was Houston wanted both so I'll say pretty damn valuable

I gotta say.

Simmons is signed for 4 more years after this this season...from his age 25 season through his age 28 season for about 36M a year.

Harden is signed for one more year, for his age 32 season with one player option at about 46 a year for his age 33 season.

If i was a GM that just came to a new team and made a bunch of moves and all of a sudden my team looks a lot better than last year----i wouldnt make that deal

if the Sixers looked bad and they looked like they needed a shakeup- id be more prone to thinking long and hard about it.

well thats why they are rumors

i just dont see a ton of value in trading for a guy who will be a free agent in a few months and then having to pay that guy 80 million bucks to be a specialist- esp. on a team that would not be a contender.

would Russell, Beasley and Culver, plus picks make sense? Go with Towns, Harden, and #1 overall Anthony Edwards?

Raptors might be fairly interesting too.

those would be the teams that i think would be logical from a basketball standpoint- but id sure want to talk to Harden before hand if i was either GM and see if he would be happy in Toronto or Minneapolis.

Orlando? have all their picks.....have some interesting young talent in Fultz, Isaac, Gordon, Bomba.....?

problem with Heat and Robinson is- if they trade for Harden they need a guy like Robinson to space.

Harden, Butler, Bam, Robinson would be very interesting if they could get a Harden buy in and convince him to move the ball--- but again- big risk with the buy in and attitude stuff.

Houston just needs to get it over with and do that Harden/Simmons swap. Toss in a couple picks too. It's the best deal Houston is gonna get. Playing Simmons as sort of a super version prime Draymond Green with Wall at point, Gordon, Wood and Tucker is a pretty good group. Still have Boogie off the bench.

I think it is all about playing indoors and the ease of transmission.

But perhaps they do need to adjust practice rules and such to make it less likely that the virus spreads from teammate to teammate.

Definitely this.

Yep. Simmons isn't as good as Harden but he is like six years younger.

def not Houston that is holding that up.

If you are the Sixers, and look like a really good team, have made a ton of roster moves to add desperately needed shooting- you really trade a 24 year old simmons thats locked up for this year and 4 more years for this year plus one or two years of Harden and totally revamp how your team plays?

I did see Danny Green played 50 minutes- which is just insane. That dude is gonna be in an ice bath for a month.

The Pacers are completely selling out to prevent him from even attempting a shot. It’s crazy the way they are guarding him. They’re playing him excellent and avout as well as I’ve seen a team guard him.

Because for the 100th time they don't respect anyone else to shoot.
