Got pick used on Conklin and other picks, right? Or did TN trade back up with us to get Conklin? Guessing the latter.

traded down to like 16 then back up to Conklin.

they also took a 24 year old 43 de and tried to make him a 34 olb instead of taking Chris Jones or Michael Thomas

Guessing his attitude also a reflection of Stefanski...sounds like him in pressers.

This was Mayfield's most important season, his 3rd. And with the season he had, especially how he cut way down on the int's, I'd say it was a success. And it's probably time for the questions of him being the true franchise QB to stop.

It's looking like Stefanski was a very good hire. You never know what you're going to get with a guy who has only been an assistant but he's looking like the real deal. And he's putting Mayfield in a position to succeed.

Damn right. And because of the teams past history with lousy HC's I was very apprehensive of Stephanski. But there's no question he's the HC to finally get the Browns going in the right direction.

And whatever happens on Sunday, even with Stephanski I didn't expect the Browns to pull off the upset, this has been a very good year for the Browns.

Holy shit. Don't know much about the history of the Dodgers. With the exception of Robinson and the team moving to LA and a few other things. Had no idea from '54 to '96 they only had two managers.

Browns ended up getting lucky the Houston first rounder was so good. That was a mess trading the Wentz pick and then passing on Watson. That could've blown up horribly

This could make sense. Cannot undo what's done, but thought is if you really love the team why buy it without the will to win? If you are looking for year to year profit better way to go than to buy an MLB team.
If he wants to sell(and that's a big if), I don't think he's cutting payroll for a yearly profit for himself, but for sale market attractiveness. The dude will be 90 in February. He's got a good front office and a good manager in place. Might be he's just setting up the estate for the family.

So he can grift off the value of the club like Chris Ilitch

Point taken.
But if he no longer wants to own the club, or his kids won't make good owners, its probably best for the fans if he sells. As long as they stay in Cleveland.

ouch. .....Yeah...I'm glad we made the deal and got all the picks but we messed up on our 1st rounder by taking Corey Coleman. Yeah, picked another WR instead of Thomas. I guess to be fair I cannot think of a mock I saw that had Thomas going ahead of him or the Bama WR whose name escapes me (Vikings took him).

Guess we wound up with Conklin so can't complain too much.

Do you think we can get Chris to sell? Just one more year guys. I love the even worse free agent acquisitions than last year process for this year.

I'm certain they pick up the 5th year option and at least talk extension. If he wants something reasonable I could see getting it done. He'll have to wait if he insists on a Watson type deal IMO.

At least it wasn't as bad a pick as Justin Gilbert. That one takes the top prize

I did want Stefanski over McDaniel especially after hearing his opening presser. and, sure, we've been fooled before but wasn't the typical look at how great I am rah rah type. Came across as smart and someone who would not make decisions based on ego or emotion (same as Berry). So needed.

As for the season I was thinking 9-10 wins and borderline playoff team so 11 wins and a playoff I certainly cannot complain about season as a whole no matter what happens. I might even be less nervous than usual going into a game like this as hard to expect much under the circumstances. Isn't to say they cannot win nor that I wont be as nervous as ever if game is a close one.

Zach Wilson is looking like he'll be a pretty good pro......what do you think @tlance?

I won’t get my info until closer to the draft.

Also, COVID might impact ability to collect data on every prospect. Might be an incomplete picture this year.

Figured that pick could be a high pick, but not for the reason it was (Watson injury). Figured might not be such a great team with a rookie or Savage at QB.

No doubt could have backfired passing on Watson but he was iffy to many and I'm pretty sure plan was get a top pick in QB heavy 2018 draft. Always thought when they traded Wentz even if he's good trade is fine as long as they find their QB by 2018 draft. But it's a disaster if they don't (especially if Wentz is good).

Agree....but he's been cutting payroll nearly every year since he's been here. Only showed a pulse in one offseason (when they signed EE). when he was willing to just spend lge avg. the team was a legit title contender.......maybe even a favorite. Then he shaved $44 mil to near bottom payroll. Pretty sure that was not to sell at the time. as low as they are now, you are right and does make it more possible.

I wanted nothing to do with McDaniels. Knew he didn't know what the hell was doing when he drafted Tebow in Denver. And the way he took the Colts job only to turn around and back out of it was a bad look for him. I don't think he's real HC material.
