I’m fine either way with Moore. Play calling is the easiest thing in the world to second guess. If it works you are a genius and if not a loser. I usually go by what I think as the play begins and not afterwards. If you find yourself thinking “what are you doing” at the snap and before you see the result it is usually a legit critique And I find myself doing that way do often in the final third Of the field. But, we can’t ignore how well this offense was last year and even this year considering all we went through. I guess my main reason for being happy he is staying is because I don’t trust McCarthy to bring in a good replacement after seeing what he brought with him this year. We need to fire at least half of these coaches and the HC is IMO very lucky he’s getting a pass.

At the same time this is 2 years in a row that we have read about Moore considering another job that isn’t what I would call a clear promotion. So if he isn’t happy, GTFO.

Well that should end any Dak vs Dalton debate. He gets sacked too easily. He walked into sacks holding the ball too long.

Horrible first half. He played well in the 2nd half, but when they crossed mid-field at the end I said how much would we love to just have Dak for this last drive here. A first or second down sack down there at the end is just not acceptable (Romo used to drive me crazy with those). Just throw it out the back of the end zone. You should always know where one receiver is that you can just air mail it over. I don't know if it was holding the ball too long as much as not getting rid of it when the pressure came right away. Often it was immediate. Maybe that is what you are saying too.

I never read anyone saying Dalton was as good as Dak. I think some people are questioning if Dak is worth $40M per year that he will get in a cap world and with a lower cap next year. But I'd be surprised if people said Dalton was as good as Dak. Maybe I missed it

It sure is. The o-line was god awful this game, but even with that, Andy needs to get rid of the ball, just throw it away. Throwing that last one up for grabs was terrible. He is, who he is, a serviceable back-up. Hoping you never have to depend on your playoff life in his hands.

Dalton is a good back up and that is as far as it goes. Dak in my opinion is not worth $40 mil per yr. or anyone else. I do believe he should be our franchise QB but at a lesser price.

the market is the market....no reason why Dak should sign for less money than the market. The draft is the only solution for next season.

the cap will go up greatly in 22/23. Dak's money just doesn't look to be the biggest issue at all to me.

Doubt that is an option if he is healthy. You either give Dak around $40M per or you use his money elsewhere. The easy way to go is pay him, but then of course you seriously stress your cap. So when you pay that much you need elite play. If you let him go you can use that money on 2 defensive studs but then what? Draft a QB? Could work, but I always feel better knowing I have a good QB. I'd let some of the other dead weight go first and sign Dak. Normally I'd say just tag him again but that will kill our cap next year. We need to get his cap hit below $30M for next year I think and to do that we need to sign him LT.

We have so many other problems. Signing Dak should not be one of them.

If paying DAK $40 per yr is what it takes to win a SB so be it. I like the guy and hope he is our franchise QB. To me the price is too high for any QB but it is only an opinion and nothing against Dak. However, if Jerry pays up, then he needs to give Dak every tool to help him take us to the SB. Tools include a coaching staff worthy of Dak's caliber and an OL and Defense.
If Jerry is not willing then you have a expensive QB that has been expected to do the near impossible. Then the question is,was $40 thou to much.

That is the Market for a franchise QB. wentz, cousins, and others considered franchise QB, were paid. Paying your QB does not guarantee a Superbowl. You need more then that or you will surely disappointed. How many years did the Cowboy struggle before Romo or Dak, trying to find the next Troy? If Dallas is not going to pay Dak, what should they do??? Dak deserves to get paid what the Market dictates for a Franchise QB. Jerry has been needing to get help for the team for 26 years now, regardless of who the QB is. He has failed miserably.

Where I disagree is if you commit $40M per to Dak he needs to do get the job done without those things because you can't afford them all in a cap world
