Haskins fucked up, no other way to look at it. But his days in Washington were numbered before his mistakes. From the moment RR got the job he didn't want him.
This. That's why Rivera brought in Allen.

I doubt he does. I think they released Haskins because they know Smith is close to being 100%. No way they release Haskins going with Heinicke as their only QB on the roster.

Bro.

They releases Haskins because his presence hurts the team more than it helps.

They would start some random off the street before they gave Haskins another chance.

Smith might be ok for Sunday. But there is no way they know for certain today.

Haskins would have benefitted from a season under Day as head coach for sure.

Throwing to vastly superior athletes who are usually wide open on short routes doesn't do much for development.

And I realize he's got an attitude problem but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Probably good that you're not an NFL GM then. They've been dealing with him on a daily basis and likely have more info on why they released him.

OK, but this means you moved the goal posts......went from will never start another game to needs to be QB1 for a team. I don't think he'll be the latter in next 2-3 years barring injury so agree with you there.
He said Haskins will be out of the League within 2 years.

You want me to post the stats of some of the backups in the League I already listed? They can't read defenses either and that's why they are backups but they are still in the League.

And I realize he's got an attitude problem but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt......being released has surely opened his eyes and he will need to look at the man in the mirror to stay employed. I just think he's way too young to give up on him.
I happen to think you are correct.....but also possible the kid says F it. He has earned $8 mil already I believe.

Not moving the goal posts.

Talking terms of a bet.

I don’t make bets unless I am fairly certain I will win them.

Not going to make a random coin flip bet that DJ could win because 3 dudes ahead of him on the depth chart get injured.

Bet that Haskins isn't out of the League within the next 2 years?

He said Haskins will be out of the League within 2 years.

Nope.

I said more likely to be out of the league than start another game.

I also said he will be on somebody’s roster next year.

If you going to quote me, get it right.

also said will never start another game. I think he'll still be in the league in 2 years if he wants to be and will start again.

Not to mention, Haskins is Snyder’s hand picked guy

No way Snyder signs off on this move without a mountain of evidence saying Haskins needs to go.

So, yes, more likely out in 2 years than start another game? Or does he need to be what you deem QB1?

Yep. Like Wamy said.....his days were numbered when Rivera was hired....I think being released will open his eyes and he'll adjust his attitude accordingly.....and if he goes to the right place.....he can backup for a year or so and get a starting job possibly.....the NFL is a forgiving place.

OK, you said wont start another game in next 2-3 years. Then moved goal posts to wont be QB1. Hard to keep track when you cannot decide for yourself.

Here's where I stand on it....
will be in the league again within 2-3 years
will start another game within 2-3 years
will not be your version of QB1 in 2-3 years

Yes. More likely to be out of the league than start another game.

No, I am not betting on that.

I will bet that he is never the top QB on a depth chart again.

I will also bet he is out of the league by 2023 if given odds in my favor.

Actually pull up the quote instead of telling me what I said.
