Bad form to quote myself...but Theismann told announcers to pronounce his name to rhyme with Heisman during his last year at Notre Dame, then went back to it's original pronunciation when he came back to the NFL. I think he played a couple years in Canada cuz he didn't want to be a backup or some nonsense.
