A late first. 20+ it's 2 seconds. Good move under duress, well done Myers

I thought the deal should’ve been their 2 seconds last night. So this is just a little worse

a late 1st isn’t real worth much. OKC keeps stockpiling these late 1st’s. Really don’t get it. It’s hard to package even two late-ish 1st to move mid round.

Win for the W’s since the owner isn’t cheap. If they don’t make the playoffs, they give up two 2nd’s. Which isn’t shit.

Only way the W’s lose this trade is if Oubre gets hurt then has to pay that outrageous $$ or is absolute trash

Yeah, it's tough to hit on late firsts anyway.
Honestly the chance of getting a good player with one pick late in the first round can't be more than hitting with 2 shots in the second round.

Now the only downfall of this historically huge luxury bill is they aren’t a legit contender imo. This is a mid seed or lower seed to this point imo

Gotta give 'em credit, it's just money. Steinbrenner would be proud. Take the shot.

We bitch at the cheap ones, we gotta give it up for the spenders

And it's not my money, so I'm all for it. Ownership that wants to win is all you can ask for.

Kelly Oubre for a 2021 1st that’s top 20 protected. If not conveyed the Warriors owe two 2nds.

Huge tax bill for the Warriors but in terms of compensation this is a friggin steal.

There's a theory that the Thunder didn't ask for much because they want the Western Conference to get stronger, hoping that it will cause the Clippers to disband and make those Clipper picks they own higher.

absolutely.

If they wanna pay the tax, good for them.

but for over the cap teams those picks are key. But Gs could just buy seconds to give them more chances to find talent

Will the Clippers run it back?

The Clippers have some big decisions to make, with several key free agents including Harrell, Marcus Morris and JaMychal Green. L.A. tinkered with its roster on draft night, flipping Landry Shamet as part of a package that brought back Luke Kennard, but the Clippers remain determined to add another guard, per league sources. Rajon Rondo is on L.A.’s radar, though Rondo could command a larger salary than the capped out Clippers can afford. L.A. has also explored a deal for Charlotte’s Terry Rozier, per league source. Still, as ugly as the Clippers finish to last season was, there remains a possibility that the Clips could run back largely the same team has last season.
