this scenario is growing on me
For me tooWould you repost this? For whatever reason it's not showing up... just your comment on it. Thanks!
I think one of the former owners set it up so you can't post bleacher report stuff here.
this scenario is growing on me
The only thing I liked about Snyder was his stance on the name. That’s about all any skins fan would give him credit for I think. And even that was likely not based on the history and storied reasons...likely $$$ tbh.The Skins need a new owner.
I liked Snyder because he kept the Redskins name, but now that he's caved on that, he might as well go, too.
Really? He said that huh?the post was about coach rivera saying the franchise qb isnt on the roster
Nothing here that Rivera said the QB of the future is not on the roster. Maybe I missed something and this is not the article you are referring too about Rivera.
- The Washington Football Team fields a solid defense that ranks 11th in points allowed and surrenders the fifth-fewest yards. The group also applies relentless pocket pressure with the fourth-most sacks (27).
However, Washington must revamp its offense starting with the quarterback position, across the offensive line and on the perimeter. The unit ranks 30th in scoring and total yards.
The coaching staff demoted 2019 first-rounder Dwayne Haskins. He's a backup for Alex Smith, who took over for Kyle Allen on Sunday.
Allen will miss the remainder of the season with a dislocated ankle. Per Spotrac, he'll become an exclusive rights free agent in the spring, which means the team can re-sign him on a one-year tender. Although Alex Smith made an impressive comeback from several leg surgeries to play most of the team's Week 9 game, he's not the future at 36 years old.
Objective No. 1: Open Up QB Search, Inquire About Sam Darnold
If the New York Jets (0-9) land the first overall pick, general manager Joe Douglas may consider offers for quarterback Sam Darnold with Trevor Lawrence (Clemson) and Justin Fields (Ohio State) drawing all the buzz on the college scene.
Remember, Douglas didn't draft Darnold in 2018. He would have the opportunity to start fresh with a signal-caller of his choice. In that scenario, Gang Green would probably offer its young quarterback for players and/or draft capital.
With a few more wins, Washington may miss out on the chance to draft Fields or North Dakota State's Trey Lance. If so, the front office can focus on Darnold, who's only 23 years old and still has the potential to develop into a solid starter.
Washington should start with an offer of a second- and fifth-round pick for Darnold. If the Jets send him elsewhere, BYU's Zach Wilson could be a draft option. He's thrown 21 touchdown passes and two interceptions during his program's 8-0 start this season.
Objective No. 2: Strengthen Left Side of the Offensive Line
Washington needs a stronger offensive line to protect its future franchise quarterback. The club ranks 28th in pass protection, per Football Outsiders. Left tackle Geron Christian Sr. has allowed six sacks, per Pro Football Focus.
At left guard, Wes Martin lost his starting job to Wes Schweitzer after rookie fourth-rounder Saahdiq Charles went on injured reserve with a dislocated kneecap. While Schweitzer could hold the position for this season, he has yet to prove himself as the long-term answer on the interior.
Washington should have the financial capital to add mid-tier veteran competition for the starting spot, perhaps Lane Taylor or Jon Feliciano off the free-agent market.
If the front office acquires Darnold, Oregon's Penei Sewell and Alabama's Alex Leatherwood stand out as probable options to shore up the perimeter of the offensive line.
Objective No. 3: Bolster Pass-Catching Group
Wide receiver Terry McLaurin cannot carry the pass-catching group alone. Thus far, he's been effective, hauling in 108 passes for 1,611 yards and 10 touchdowns in 22 games, but the passing attack needs a complementary playmaker on the outside.
Among the team's wideouts, Dontrelle Inman ranks second in receptions (17) while Cam Sims ranks second in yards (171). The latter only has seven catches.
In the second round of the 2021 draft, USC's Amon-Ra St. Brown could be available. The junior receiver ranked second on the team in yards (1,042) last season. He's not a speedy threat but runs a detailed route tree with great ball-tracking skills.

Read this article, nothing here that we all already don't know from this outsider. As for Darnold, HECK NO!! He can't win any games either. No thanks! If another QB has to be brought in because RR doesn't appreciate DH's after 4 games then go with a draft pick, Montez and another vet. Please dispose of Smith, Allen and Haskins and start over at QB. This is called a rebuild, not a reset.

From what I heard, he didn’t say there wasn’t. He said that’s what he and the other coaches have to figure out. I didn’t listen to what you posted so maybe it’s there, but I heard him answer the question the other dayRon Rivera Presser: "Is our franchise QB on the roster?"
