Depending on how catastrophic this injury is, I think we’ll have to wait to see how much money he might have lost.....$31M is a tremendous pay day, but missing out on a potential $100M deal is brutal......

That was a gamble he wanted to take. Cowboys offered a long term deal and it appears the problem was the length of the contract not the money. In any case he won't be able to make a lose of 31 million. He's end up in the hole.
