@calsnowskier , here is what I see needs to change on the roster:
Andrew Suarez - change from inactive to active
Steven Duggar - change from active to inactive
Add the following to the 60 player pool - Jake Jewel, Rob Brantly (apparently, dfa'd guys can go back on the pool list)
Remove the following from the 60 player pool - Keon Wong, Jose Siri (the team website says that they were outrighted to Sacramento, not the alternate training site. Yeah, I know it is located in Sacramento but from what I can tell, the difference is whether or not the player is officially off or on the 60 player pool. Brantly was outrighted to the site, not Sacramento).
Jordan Humphreys is technically on the restricted list and did not officially opt out.

Bart added to the 40 and 30. No announcement yet on the corresponding moves.

Whoa! The Giants dfa'd Joe McCarthy! They moved on quickly from him. Yet Chris Shaw survives to not get a shot to play with the Giants this year.

Back to back years where the opening day starting LFer did not even make it half way through the season before getting kicked to the curb.

I was surprised that he made the club in the first place but more surprised that one of the headlining names from the Dyson trade is already getting jettisoned (understanding that FZ is fully hoping to keep him in the org).

Just stumbled on this on Baseball America:
Released: RHP Sam Wolff (later re-signed)

Apparently, there was some contract re-working. Not sure what as I don't remember him being a 6 year minor league free agent. However, maybe he was set to become one last offseason and the Giants re-signed him before the end of the season and that contract had an opt out at some point, if he wasn't in the big leagues. These transactions were reported to happen between July 21st and August 1st.

Pence DFAd, Magachud activated and sent to Sac
:jaw:I mean, the writing was on the wall and FZ is known to pull the trigger, but its still a bit shocking and, while I thought Pence needed to go, it still feels weird to see such a lovable guy, who did so much for the club, jettisoned like that. I would rather that they had not signed him back on to the club, but that ship sailed months ago.

And Coonrod wasn't sent to Sacramento (or the alternate training site, which is the same thing, but different). He listed on the active roster and Daniel Robertson, whom the Giants acquired for cash, is at the ATS. Pence's dfa makes room for him on the 40 and Coonrod on the 28.

The handwriting was on the wall for Pence. He looked lost at the plate, and slow in the field.

Can Panda be far behind? He is hitting a robust .203, and refuses to take walks. And he can't play 3rd with his arm still recovering. He's a "luxury" the Giants cannot afford.

Hats off to Pence and Panda for the good years and the WS wins they contributed to. They will be fondly remembered.

I wish Pence were able to “walk away” rather than kicked to the curb, but it was the right move...
