wolves win #1 pick, move up first time in franchise history
In the 2020 NBA Draft the Minnesota Timberwolves select:
Lavar Ball...I mean LaMelo Ball
Is GS keeping or trading?
Yeah should be looking to trade. I'm not sure who can take that Wiggins contract but getting the #2 as well would still be pretty good value in a bad draft.
I'm not sure why they took the wiggins contract, but am happy they did

Blake for Wiggins and a pick swap
Boom
does that work cap wise?
I didn’t realize the Wiggins deal was that much. Ouch
It's pretty close

GS should offer this **Don't think the 76ers would ever trade Embiid but here we go**
Wiggins
2020 #2 pick
1st 2021
1st 2021 TWolves (protected top 3)
1st 2023
For
Embiid
Stephien Rule is only FUTURE Picks right? So they would be able to go 2020 and 2021?
The money would pretty much match up perfectly, like I said, meh...
They would need to make up another $7M...not sure Griffin is worth any of that unless they throw in a couple cheerleaders and 1st rounders lol
@CitySushi Saw some potential trade targets for GS. What do you think?
Steven Adams & Bazley For Wiggins & #2
Embiid for Wiggins, Paschall, #2 and 2022 1st (yeah right)
Giannis for Klay, #2, 2022 1st and 2024 1st (yeah right)
Beal for Wiggins, Paschall, #2, 2022 1st and 2024 1st
Of the trades proposed above, Embiid and Beal would be the desired targets.
Wiggins, regardless of what you think his fit on the team might be, the intention of him playing with the Warriors is he's going to be that 3rd scorer. Right now the Warriors don't have any reliable scorers outside of Steph and Klay, so if they're trading Wiggins, they need someone back who they can rely on to get buckets.
Beal next to Steph and Klay? That'd be ridiculous. Especially with Beal's play making ability and being able to let him run the offense while Steph and Klay take turns running off screens would be a nightmare. Defensively they'd lose a little, mostly because Klay will now be tasked with guarding some of the bigger 3's in the league in that scenario. But damn that would be some fun basketball to watch.
Embiid would be a no-brainer. And the Warriors run the perfect system for him because Kerr, for whatever reason, runs a frustrating amount of backscreens for centers using Steph as the screen setter, LOL. Embiid could set up shop down low and would likely face single coverage because of the shooters around him. It'd be what the Warriors were envisioning when they had Boogie.
