It is time to finish the rebuild. It would be great to add another piece or two at the deadline and then sign better free agents in the offseason.

We have already wasted opportunities over the past couple of years to deal Odor, Choo, and Minor. I am not sure how this deadline will play out, but if they can make a major trade with Lynn they should do it. Maybe Frazier will have some value as well.

Honestly I am thinking unless they change the character of this team, rebuild or no rebuild won't matter. Looks really weakminded. Also think you are right re ownership and dollars not to be spent. But could affect a lot of teams. But to me we are still bottomfeeders for now

9 IP 2 H 1 ER and a 3-2 win where we scored a run in the 7th and 8th to win
Then last night 7 IP 8 H 2 ER and a no decision

We really have a hard time scoring for this guy.

My idea was to add some longterm free agents both this past offseaspn and this coming one while we develop young talent. It might be a little tough to add all the free agents after everyone else is ready. Well, now it appears that the free agent part won't begin for at least 15 more months.

That pretty much means Lance Lynn is more valuable to trade than to keep.

We might as well because it is even more apparent that the ownership is interested in competing

Part of me wants to say that the structure of the season being so jacked up created preparation issues for the players. But all teams were affected in the same way with that, more or less, and they don't seem to be suffering too much. Especially when facing us.
