Before we go off and spend spend spend, it would make more sense this season to develop what we have ( Trevino) Solak IKF BP etc and do what we can to get rid of liabilities (Oder) etc. Choo should be gone and that to me is a plus. Since there does not appear to be many desirable FA's, then trade what we can such as Elvis who is in decline and getting old and Mathis or Chirino. Go from there.

good news is odor only has 2 years left after this season is over. I wouldn’t rule out the rangers eating the last year of his contract. So maybe it would only be 1 more year of Odor on the field.

My idea was to add some longterm free agents both this past offseaspn and this coming one while we develop young talent. It might be a little tough to add all the free agents after everyone else is ready. Well, now it appears that the free agent part won't begin for at least 15 more months.

That pretty much means Lance Lynn is more valuable to trade than to keep.
