Dietrich hit .187 last year so he could definitely be viewed as an easy out. Same for Mathis. That is, unless Mathis' 3 hits in 12 AB erases his past.

this front office always has odor on the brain. They probably watch him hit a single and extend his shelf life another 1 month in the lineup after that. Even if he strikes out the other 15 AB’s before that.

they probably gave Frazier the day off to make it seem like Odor is being rested instead of sat because of performance issues.
