See this is what they do, they have a dead man's grip onto it's history. They feel they are entitled and can do what they want.. well until they formed the Big12 where "all the power went to UT". Long gone were the days of being able to recruit elementary level readers who could run 4.5 40's.

They benefitted from unequal sharing, yet always acted like UT was the one who made them (when they voted against unequal sharing themselves).

So what do you do? You get wind that mizzu is talking to the B16 and nu makes contact too. They get into the B16 and say good luck losers of the Big12.. we are where we belong..in a conference with bluebloods, we are peers.

They have gone to do nothing, can't recruit, can't hire a decent coach.. now they are on their savior who they already want to run out.. but the best part is now they will use the conference as a reason why they suck.. you were gonna go winless but hey you still wanted to play.

Now they are throwing a hissy fit as if they were in the top tier of the conference when in reality they are below WI, Iowa, MN in it's own division.

But watch out B16, Nebraska doesn't play second fiddle to anyone.. u need us more than we need you!!!

It's weird but I've seen several outspoken sports media criticizing Nebraska! Usually they don't go after a coach like that unless he has done something reprehensible (DUI, Domestic Abuse, Racism, etc.). Frost just wants his team to play.

He said it was guaranteed, so if they don't play football this year, will they still get that $50 million paycheck? I was under the impression they don't get it unless a season is played.

I'd think that would be between the TV companies attorneys and the Big 10 attorneys.

Not sure why the TV companies would feel obligated to pay out those contracts for games not played.

I'm not sure if Fox (the primary player in it) could just cut the B10 a $700+ million check without having them play football. Maybe they would, but I would have thought they get nothing if the season ends up being canceled for this academic year.

On the flip side, Nebraska a deep history in football (that's one of the reasons why they were so attractional to the B10) . If ND had joined the B10 a few years ago, and they complained like Nebraska is complaining, I think their complaints would be understood too. It's a BIG deal in the state and surrounding area.

If I were FOX, I wouldn't if I didn't have to.

FOX will lose an ass ton of advertising revenue if the Big 10 doesn't play.

I'd assume the Big 10 is obligated by contract to 'play to get paid', but I'll leave that up to the attorneys reading the contracts.
