No. MAC just canceled all fall sports. Everyone will follow suit this week probably.
Won't reach week 1 unfortunately.Everyone will get a first game.
Not sure after that.
The MAC was doomed as soon as the B1G-MAC Challenge was cancelled.No. MAC just canceled all fall sports. Everyone will follow suit this week probably.
Thank Goodness for Week 0!Won't reach week 1 unfortunately.
I say postpone the season and just start week 1 November 7th. Play through the winter. Playoffs/Bowls in late January or early February.

Seriously, going to get interesting fast. I do think there will be some hold outs and the season starts but does not end. Maybe a split should happen with Regional OOC games in the early Fall with a shutdown followed by Conference only in the Spring like the MVC is allowing? So, some money can be generated NOW - without a total disruption. See what happens and adjust to do a better job for the shorter conference season in the Spring.
Just a thought.
So what has change? So all this time conferences spent to setup the season was all for nothing?
I don’t see the season getting postponed or canceled until we start seeing players and staff getting sick
I agree that B1G and Pac will shut down first, but I think the Big Xii will play at least one game (the OOC Home Game), and SEC might give it a go into October. No idea about the ACC. They are just hoping for Basketball Season.B1G isn't playing. They'll be the first to call it off. Pac 12 will follow. Big 12/ACC/SEC will reluctantly follow.
All the G5s were IMHO. I can't find one that can make it without their money games and what few fans they would have gotten. And, they don't have the cash to conduct all the testing that the P5 schools do so their risk would be higher. Again, that's just my opinion. The MAC was doomed as soon as the B1G-MAC Challenge was cancelled.

More data and testingHere is the question I have. What has changed between last March when conference hoops tournaments/March Madness were cancelled and now? Testing? Masks? Social distancing?
