it won't be just them to break away.. the other P4 conferences will be breaking away too. There's no incentive to remain tied to the NCAA. They will get the rights to the money making MBB tournaments, college world series.. all of it.

They will break away. Then they'll will reconstruct something very similar to what the NCAA looks like right now. Only they'll be able to run things without all the pesky little tit suckers and won't have to share any of the other revenue makers.

Or, what they reconstruct might be worse. Hell, the five of them can't even agree on what this football season should look like or when it should start. I guess they think they can agree on everything else though. We damn sure know they'll agree on keeping more of the money they generate. I mean the money some of them generate. Sure, but if football breaks off, you guys dwarf Stanford’s revenue. They are private but everything I’ve seen on Stanford insinuates that football program doesn’t subsidize all the other sports as much as every other school. I believe golf and soccer are nearly in the black.

Yeah that's my fear, feels like the Big12 being formed again out of need not of want.

I would hope they could have a board of commissioners instead of one person who makes the decisions for 60 schools.

I am sure you are proud. You actually quoted some satellite campus as your proof? GTFO. Also, USN has UW as 60th or so in national unis, and somehow 2 in global unis. There is some witchery going on there to do that. UW is a fine school, but it's not he 2nd best public institution in the US, etc. Anyone can find someone to give something a number. Be proud, but don't exaggerate. I actually think the best value rankings are the most important these days, so long as they are evaluated objectively.

Bothell is a satellite campus, Seattle is the main campus. Fact of the matter is UW is ranked #2 in the US for public universities and #10 in the world in regards to academics. Those are the facts.

Nebraska is a big state and their football team sucks atm. There has to be a way to relocate UW to Nebraska .. somewhere next to a big ass lake.

Three out of four black babies are born into single parent families. Not sure how throwing more taxpayer money at them is going to change that kind of culture.
