I think Iowa should claim 3. The 1 they are recognized for in the 1950s and the 2 straight undefeated seasons in the 1921-22. At least in 1921.

Iowa beat Notre Dame in 1921. Notre Dame had a 20-game winning streak when they lost to Iowa and had a 14-game winning streak after (17 without a loss).

This Iowa/Nebraska "rivalry" is weak sauce. It feels contrived. Actually, it feels more like total bullshit. A rivalry is what Nebraska had with Oklahoma. That was built on respect. A rivalry is what Nebraska had with Colorado. That was built on hate. This thing with Iowa reeks of desperation to create something out of thin air so they can add it to their justification for seeking refuge in the Big 10 where they haven't done squat. I like Iowa a lot. Helluva state. If a person wants to read some interesting history they need to study the area that is now Iowa and how the people conquered the land and turned it into something the world envies for food production, agricultural research and an overall quality of life. I can appreciate the rivalry Iowa has with Iowa State or Wisconsin or any of the teams they have played for decades. But Nebraska? Nebraska is trying too hard to replace what it sacrificed by leaving the Big XII. If you want to coexist with Texas, you have to beat them on a regular basis. Nebraska couldn't do that and the whole situation just kept getting worse. So they dived. Now they're in the Big 10 trying to stir up a rivalry with Iowa? LMAO Iowa doesn't need that rivalry; Nebraska does.

The voting was not really impartial, and the odds of all the voters being able to witness the teams they're voting is very limited.
