sure you don't but it was true.

Darn near as long as I've watched football, Dallas was a top draw. They've played as many Sunday late afternoon games as most west coast teams for as long as I remember. They always get their full allotment of Sunday night games and Monday night .games before there was Sunday night football.

Bottom line....you gotta be a true fan to sit through the last 25 years.

1. The Cowboys were never on TV more then that regions home team

2. I don’t buy the last 25 years of “averageness” point. For example... the second the Eagles won the SB Manster changed his avatar to 5>1. Whenever the Eagles/Cowboys are discussed every Cowboy fan brings up the Cowboys superiority. It’s just comical they act like their allegiance has nothing to do with Dallas winning and winning and winning.
I’m sure all the Warriors and Bulls fans from the 90’s said the same exact thing.

2. rose color glasses....5>1 is mentioned when shit heads talk about not winning in 25 plus years.
Bonus #3....why do all non Cowboy fans in the NFC east hate Dallas the most?
Why do most packers fans hate Dallas more than divisional teams?
why do niner fans hate Dallas more than divisional teams?
Why do Ram fans....Lion Fans, Bear fans, Saint fans, Viking fans...even the lowly Falcon fans hate Dallas.

This tells you all you need to know, even with the last 25 years, Dallas is on most NFC teams list as public enemy #1. Notice I didn't mention Cardinal fans, but St Louis hated Dallas while there are more Dallas fans in Arizona than Cardinal fans. LOL, Scobby know this and it burns his ass

AGAIN....fans of Dallas are true fans after the last 25 years regardless of where they live and your tears about all that makes it better

but....Good news PE!. Dallas has the most transplant NFL fans than any other city. On Fall Sunday's, just about every team has their bar to watch their teams game. Shit goes both way in Dallas

All you NFL fans in Canada better stop rooting for your NFL team and stick with CFL.

Could you repeat that?

It's a combination of back to back road and home situations and record patterns.

Dallas will go 2-2 or 0-4 vs the NFC West
Dallas will go 4-0 or 2-2 vs the AFC North
Dallas will go 5-1 in their division for the fourth straight year
It's hard to see Dallas losing at home to Atlanta. Minnesota can go either way, but look at what the Vikings have out of the gate which could set their trajectory.

I don’t agree with this line of thinking that Dallas was on TV a lot. Just using Jarntt as an example and not talking shit but you gonna tell me he grew up in NY, read NY papers pre internet, had millions of Giant fans around him but he’s a Cowboys fan because they were on TV a lot. The Cowboys weren’t on TV more then the Giants in NY. It’s because they won and that’s it. Can I get one Cowboy fan from outside of Texas to admit they chose the Cowboys cause they won?
You just have no clue about anything you talk about. This is why you get so much shit from everyone. You talk out of your ass like you know what you are taking about but you just make shit up. Your warped sense of reality creates this illusion in your brain that you then transform to fact. Probably About 25% of NY kids were Cowboy fans when I was young. Many switched to The Giants after. So them changing teams is more honorable than someone who doesn’t? How stupid is that?

The Cowboys were on tv weekly, there was nowhere near the type of coverage there is today Of the NFL and even older Giant and Jet fans had little interest in their teams in that era. Sunday night after the games the Cowboys were always one of the biggest stories on all of the news shows and I never went to a live NFL game until I was older. There really wasn't really a huge difference between the coverage of the Jets, Giants and Cowboys and Steelers and Raiders at that time. My age group is full of fans of all teams really - Steelers, Raiders and Cowboys are the biggest but believe it or not there are a lot of Bengals fans too and really all teams. NY Just isn’t this little neighborhood of a city that no one ever moves to and clings to one franchise like a HS team. NY is filled with people From all over the world and even the news covers all teams. The “home team” phenomenon isn’t this small town feel like Philly and having more than one “local” team which immediately splits everyone up is probably a big part of it.

you live in Arizona and are an Eagles fan. You turned your back on your city and moved 2,500 miles away but you have the balls to talk about other people that don’t live in the city of their favorite team? How hypocritical is that, but you justify it in your world because you once lived there. I honestly can’t believe you made it through HS without getting Your ass beat constantly and thrown in a garbage can at least once a day.

The main reason the Cowboys chances are better this year. They got rid of the predictability on both sides of the ball. Every Cowboy fan, even from all the way up here in NY, knew what defense they were in every play pre-snap and knew if it was ru. Or pass on the other side of the ball. Just confusing the other team once in a blue moon even should help

1. Prime time games don’t trump the areas home team that is shown EVERY week. You know that.
2. The reason we hate the Cowboys is because of their HUGE fan base. Root for your damn home team.

I never got my ass beat. That happened to the front running fans who turn their back on their home team to root for a winner. Notice you stayed with the Yankees but the Giants didn’t win enough for you so you chose to root for a city you have absolutely ZERO connection too.
It’s funny you calling me stupid, saying I got my ass kicked in high school (seems like I really struck a nerve) and you want us to believe the Cowboys got just as much coverage as the NY Giants in NY. Such nonsense.
And here we go again. It was never because Dallas won and won and won. It’s always some other reason. There was one reason you became a Dallas fan and it’s cause the Giants didn’t win back then so you had to pretend like you lived in Dallas. So corny.
And yes, little kids who don’t even really watch the game matured and realized they were from NY and a man roots for his home team win or lose. That is a shit ton more admirable then what you did.

Hypocritical is not moving for a job to AZ and staying loyal to your home team. That makes absolutely no sense.
You, Manster, Schmoopy are not Cowboy fans. You just aren’t.

You'd think anyone with a working brain would know why I used the Braves.

Cause in the good ole days when you turned on TBS ( anywhere in the US) them damn Braves were on. God Bless Turner he was ahead of his time, then making sure his hottie of the wife was also caught on camera.

Gibbs was way past his prime. 8691"]Schottenheimer, was overrated and stuck in for one season.
Shanahan made his name off of a few seasons in Denver, and failed more often to not until they got acrwal RB.
Nobody were beating down these guys doors when the joined Snyder.

I was asked to provide a list of the good coaches Snyder has hired. Shottenheimer, Shanahan and Gibbs were regarded as good coaches when Snyder hired them.

The end.

Gibbs? How far back are we going here. I'll go 3 HOFers: Landry, JJ and Parcells :suds:

See my post above. Not sure why we are arguing here. Those 3 on anyone's score card were considered good coaches when Snyder hired them.

I'm not sure why you are continuing with this. Do I really need to post the resumes to prove that those 3 were good coaches when hired? Everyone knows this.
Again, good years ago dosen't mean still good. If a team hired Shotenhammer, Gibbs or Parcells today would that be a good hire?

Facts are not one coach ever declined to sign withDallas.
Now if you say Jones choices of Coach's is questionable I'll agree, but the notion that coaches don't want to coach in Dallas is asinine.

I feel bad for how dumb you are

A real fan picks a team for whatever reason and never changes. Why is it that there are so many young fans of the Cowboys today? Is it all of that winning they have dine lately? Why would someone who only roots for a winner still be a fan of a team that hasn't in decades?:L
