Not saying McCarthy my first choice, but I was completely against Rivera when his name came up as a possible HC in Dallas.

When RR got fired I kind of figured he’d coach one of our teams, and like I said jerrah could’ve done much worse than McCarthy.

no....gonna snap the ball directly to Elliott. :rolleyes2:

this post still supports the question;
Why are there more horses' asses than there are horses'?

Quite simple.....

You don't require a horse to be a horse's ass

Name these good coaches Snyder has hired.
Marty Schottenheimer.
I remember when they hired him I was worried as a Cowboys fan.
Snyders big problem is Jerry's opposite problem when it comes to coaching.
Snyder has no patience. Jerry has to much. Although I would rather have too much than too little.

Remember Marty going something like 0-5 & finished 8-8
Which means he ended the season 8-3 & Snyder being the dumbass that he is did the Cowboys a favor by firing Marty.
Redskin history could have been different if Snyder had more patience.
To me that is the last good HC the Redskins actually had.

As many of Eagle fans point out. The Cowboys havent done shit for a quarter century. Yet all of us real fans are still around. As far as new fans. Cowboys are still marketed as much as most teams even without winning. So please. Continue bashing young Cowboy fans that have never seen the Cowboys win a superbowl. (your fellow eagle fans will fact check this for you)

In theory you sound right but if I hypothetically said “Dallas sucks” they’d immediately say “5 is more then 1”.
Like I said... just admit it’s because they won and I’ll be totally fine with it

Again moron, I thought my old man was a fan of the Cowboys, I was to young to know who the home team was.

Do us all a favor and shut your pie hole.

That’s crazy... it has nothing to do with winning and you just happened to luckily root for the team with the 2nd most SBs, travel 2000 miles and coincidentally root for the basketball team with the most titles then another 3000 miles across the country for one of the top college football dynasties but it has nothing to do with them winning. See what I’m saying

Yeah, but you were always on the Cowboy board and ONLY the Cowboy board. So what does that say about you? Not accepted by fans of your own team. Were you going through a tough stretch in your life and wanted to feel like a winner so you came over to the more popular board? :noidea:

Could be? It’s definitely where the action used to be but you, Manster, Schmoopy and Handi are all just proving my point. I said I could care less who you root for but just admit you chose the Cowboys cause they won and they all deny it. Millions of Cowboy fans outside of Dallas but not one of them picked them cause of the great history. Suuuuuure.

Just about everyone I know outside of the Dallas area picked Dallas as their team cause they were on their TV just about every week. Most could relate to the white shirts & star on their hat as the good guys. Old timers loved Landry & Staubach.
Look at California....Landry trained there for years at Thousand Oaks and Jerry took up Oxnard. Dallas has a huge following in California for this reason. Sure....winning was part of it in the old days. Eight SB's in the first 30 years will do that. Dude, I had no choice being Dallas borne and raised, but I'm thinking you're pissing in the wind here. Dallas hasn't done shit for 25 years and they have as many young fans as any team in football while they haven't won a SINGLE CHAMPIOSHIP.

Damn you are one hard headed moron
1. I wasn't traveling anywhere, I was 5 years old.
I've given you the fucking story more than once.
But just to remind your empty head, I'll say it again.

Dad's from Milford, yes plenty here already know that. He was a die hard Redsox, Celtics, and Bruins fan hence why I'm also a fan of those same teams, it had absolutely nothing to do with winning. As for the Cowboys, they were playing the Rams, old man hated all teams LA, so he was bitching about the Rams, and I assumed he liked the other team, so I chose that team, The Cowboys as my team.

A few years later I learned he was a Patriots fan, but he wasn't hard core with them brcause he had moved to California before the team was founded.

If it's all about winning why haven't I jumped onto the Pat's bandwagon?

Oh BULLSHIT, if you didn't care you wouldn't constantly argue against who we're fans of.

You're flat out lying right now, and the proof is on postd you have made numerous times.

Im flat out lying? Where?
Like I said... I really truly don’t give a shit who anyone roots for. Has ZERO impact on my day. But I do admit it’s annoying that you all pretend that you root for them for anything but them being a great historical team. It’s never cause they won. I see a million GS Warriors hats these days but it has nothing to do with them winning... right?

You root for Dallas cause your Dad hated LA teams and Dallas was playing LA. IN fact you look up to your Dad and root for Boston teams. But you’re a USC fan too and they are the epitome of LA sports. All top 3 great historical teams but it was just total coincidence and had nothing to do with them winning

I don’t agree with this line of thinking that Dallas was on TV a lot. Just using Jarntt as an example and not talking shit but you gonna tell me he grew up in NY, read NY papers pre internet, had millions of Giant fans around him but he’s a Cowboys fan because they were on TV a lot. The Cowboys weren’t on TV more then the Giants in NY. It’s because they won and that’s it. Can I get one Cowboy fan from outside of Texas to admit they chose the Cowboys cause they won?

Yes you're lying saying you don't care because it's 100% obvious you do.

As for college, my dad didn't give a rats ass about the college game, so by your rule aren't I supposed to be a USC fan?

Don't forget he grew up in projects. Only ones with TV's had to steal them and sometimes those were stolen

sure you don't but it was true.

Darn near as long as I've watched football, Dallas was a top draw. They've played as many Sunday late afternoon games as most west coast teams for as long as I remember. They always get their full allotment of Sunday night games and Monday night .games before there was Sunday night football.

Bottom line....you gotta be a true fan to sit through the last 25 years.
