Josh Uche's NFL draft profile
Check out some of the highlights of former Michigan defensive end Josh Uche.

Pre-Draft Analysis
Uche is an undersized edge defender with long arms and the skill set to make an immediate impact rushing the passer. He has a good combination of initial quickness, bend and closing speed. He's twitchy and has a quick inside move. Uche is a developing hand fighter who flashes the ability to counter. He's relentless. He needs to get stronger versus the run. -- Steve Muench

Post-Draft Analysis
The Patriots got after the passer at a pretty high rate last season (a pass-rush sixth in DVOA), but there's a problem: Kyle Van Noy and Jamie Collins ranked first and third in pressures, and they've departed. Uche in Round 2 as an upside pick fits the classic Patriots Program because he's a developmental pick more than a proven commodity, the kind of player you feel more optimistic about because of where he just landed. -- Chris Sprow

Patriots have moved up to #60 and have taken:

Josh Uche OLB Michigan

Over Baun? He's still dropping. I wonder what teams saw?

I like Trautman with their next pick if he's there.

Then back to the D and an OL.

I'm still scratching my head about Uche? Not his talent but I've read a lot about his lack of instincts. Doesn't seem to be a BB type player who needs to be able to diagnose plays quickly?

Did I see it correctly he only did the bench at the combine? 18 reps.

Uche might need some time to learn how to do some LB type things in the Pats scheme coverage wise and such but I see a guy who knows how to fly to the football and put dudes on the ground, too...idk that feels like instincts to me?

Anfernee Jennings' NFL draft profile
Catch some standout moments of former Alabama outside linebacker Anfernee Jennings' career with the Crimson Tide.

Pre-Draft Analysis
Jennings is a stout run defender who sets the edge, has a nose for the ball and shows good snap as a tackler. He will never be an elite pass-rusher in the NFL, but he has an underrated combination of quickness, change-of-direction ability, power, and instincts. He's tough and has an outstanding motor. -- Steve Muench

I loved this snippet I read a couple days ago about Jennings:

Jennings — whom former Alabama star Rolando McClain once referred to as “the meanest mother------ you’re going to see" — was a three-year starter for the Tide and finished last season with 83 tackles and eight sacks. “He’s tough, he’s big, he’s strong, he plays football and he’s a grown man,” a defensive staffer said. “If you’re just talking about a pure man, Anfernee Jennings is a pure man. You’d probably have to look at somebody that came out 10 years ago to even find a comparison for him. He’s the last of a dying breed. They don’t make ‘em like Anfernee anymore. That’s a throwback linebacker.”
