I had the Chargers trading up in my 1st mock. Do you think the Chargers are all-in on Tua? The more I think about it I think the Chargers either take the best available player or even trade back.

And for my opinion on the QB's. I think Herbert is sliding big time, I think Jordan Love could go top 10. I also think the buzz about Tua is bs. He will go top 5.
Herbert should slide big time but I do think the Dolphins seem like they are doing a full rebuild and can sit Herbert for a year. The Chargers are trying to win next year but also have a roster mostly in place.

Hmm..I just noticed I had the Panthers trading with the Bucs and they're division rivals. Thats weird. I might have to change my mock up a bit.

Hearing some GM's think Simmons is overrated, I see you have him at 15. I can definitely see him sliding but not sure he will to 15. That would be crazy though. I do like how you mixed it up though....I don't think the nfl draft will look anything close to the mocks

I don't think its too crazy. Its a good draft class and everyone needs oline help. I was 50/50 on the Browns taking him.

The reality is that Derwin James was awesome coming out and he dropped. Fitzpatrick was good coming out and he dropped a little lower than I thought. Simmons isn't overrated. He isn't Aaron Curry. He just isn't an OT, a QB, or a pass rusher so people aren't going to be going way out of their way to grab him. Probably.

I think if Simmons is there at 10 the browns would feel like they have to get him and trade for Trent.

Yep...and like always if a team picks a guy well before the fake GMs who guess where he'll go most fans will say the team and not the fake GM was wrong.

Here's a hypothetical for you. would our fans entire bodies explode if Browns took Ezra Cleveland at 10 or just the heads?

Have to because others think they should or because they think they cannot pass? If it's the former I disagree....real FOs don't care what fans think.

Thursday cannot come soon enough.

I think Terrell probably fits the scheme better. Thats PFF's opinion, anyways. Gladney seems like a jack of all trades, though. I feel like any number of teams could pick him.

You still don't have Ezra Cleveland going in rd1.

I also think the eyeball test tells me that the Chargers are a better fit for Tua than Miami. If you have Tyrod Taylor as your QB then the transition to Tua should be fairly seamless.

MIA is doing a great job of smoke screening right now, but I tend to agree. The Chargers are better suited with Taylor...they don't have to rush the youngster out there. Fitz I suppose could do the same thing for the Dolphins, but I think there would be more pressure to play him sooner in MIA.

Can't pass imo. I'd be fine with them taking a OL personally. trent will be expensive.

Interesting the Panthers trade up...that would be unexpected but I love the idea of Miami loading up on more picks and waiting on TL

Lawrence is not a lock, is he?
At some point you've got to turn those picks into Ws.

I think '20 the Fins can be a sub .500 team, but in '21 the Dolphins need to show some strong positive results (9 or more wins) to keep that regime in place down there.

Unless they think TW is far better might be more inclined to go after Peters if they want a vet. Probably less years a lot less money and wouldn't cost picks to get him.

Chargers also have a history of maybe not caring as much about injuries. Keenan Allen comes to mind but I'm sure there are other players I'm blanking on.

The one thing that bothers me about the Chargers is that they traded away their LT for a G. To me, that signals that they are drafting a LT and not a QB. Getting rid of Rivers, however, signals that they are getting a QB. I think they could go either way and the Chargers can single handedly blow up every mock draft.

I am confident the Browns went into the 2017 draft with a plan to tank and get the top pick in a QB heavy draft in 2018. Question is did they take the right one. As of now looks like Jackson, but I'm not so sure yet it isn't Baker.

And, sure, with hindsight, obviously the better choice was just take Mahomes (or Watson). But no one had either going #1 that I recall. Could have taken Watson at 12, of course. Looks like they failed but we'll see.

Alright, another stab at one. * means trade

1. Bengals - Joe Burrow

9. *Falcons - C.J. Henderson
10. Browns - Mekhi Becton

30. Packers - Patrick Queen
31. 49ers - Grant Delpit
32 - Chiefs - A.J. Terrell
There's no scenario where Cleveland would take Becton over Wirfs IMO. Wirfs is a great fit as a Bill Callahan offensive lineman, and is far more pro-ready than Becton. I think his recent drug test flag may have knocked him down a couple spots in the OL rankings. I'd probably have him down around the Ezra Cleveland level, behind Josh Jones and Austin Jackson.

Ideally in this scenario, if Thomas is off the board, I'd love to see them trade down. I'm hoping Minnesota feels the need to trade up to grab one of the top WRs and would part with 22 and 25.

Hated them passing on Watson that very day

Kind of wanted them to take him but, admittedly, saw some film room stuff that had me concerned. Just like passing on Wentz always thought the trade worked IF they found their guy by 2018. If it's Baker, the deal was fine. If not........?

My 3.0 - FINAL MOCK w/ trades

1. Bengals - Joe Burrow
2. Redskins - Chase Young
3. Lions - Jeffrey Okudah - I think the Lions stay put after being enticed to trade down. The offers aren't good enough and they have a clear need with CB.
4. Giants - Tristan Wirfs
5. Dolphins - Tua Tagovailoa
6. *Jaguars - Isaiah Simmons - first trade here. The Jags get the 6th overall pick and they grab Simmons. They give up Ngagkoue and the 9th. Other picks are involved in this deal as well.
7. Panthers - Derrick Brown
8. Cardinals - Jedrick Wills
9. *Chargers - Jordan Love - so the Chargers get another pass rusher opposite of Bosa and they get their QB of the future.
10. *Broncos - Jerry Jeudy - The Broncos give up a 3rd and 4th to the Browns for a desperately needed WR and the #1 WR OTB.
11. Jets - Andrew Thomas
12. Raiders - Ceedee Lamb
13. 49ers - Henry Ruggs
14. Bucs - Mehki Becton
15. Browns - Javon Kinlaw - so the Browns trade back and get a 3rd and 4th. So they now have 3 3rds but they do trade for Trent Williams and give up 2 of these 3 3rd's. This is a pick is strictly BPA and give them depth in the middle.
16. Falcons - C.J. Henderson
17. Cowboys - Kristian Fulton
18. Dolphins - Xavier McKinney
19. Raiders - Kenneth Murray
20. Jags - Justin Herbert - they already got Simmons now they get a QB to compete with Minshew who needs some development.
21. Eagles - Justin Jefferson
22. Vikings - Denzel Mims
23. Patriots - A.J. Espenesa
24. Saints - Patrick Queen
25. Vikings - Trevon Diggs
26. Dolphins - DeAndre Swift
27. *Bengals - Josh Jones - the Bengals give up their 33, 107, 147 for the 27th from Seattle. They get their OT to protect Joe Burrow.
28. Ravens - Yetur Gross-Matos
29. Titans - Russ Blaylock
30. Packers - Tee Higgins
31. 49ers - K'Lavon Chaisson - I'm not sure how he falls to the 49ers but he does.
32 - Chiefs - A.J. Terrell

I do, too......but we are basing this off what fake GMs have been saying. Not likely, but certainly possible the real GMs don't rate the OTs the same as the fake ones.

Well tbf we never REALLY know but this year more than ever it seems like the right sources can't get the information they normally can as easy. It doesn't help that GM's, coaches, etc. can't really go see players and all that. This draft is going to be crazy...at least I am expecting that
