Still have zero clue why you don't have a panel of refs that can basically perform a public colonoscopy (thanks to cameras/tech) on a player calling whether something was PI or not...

I'd think COVID-19 will accelerate the need for technology in sports (as it has been applied to the workplace). Why some 300 lb fatass is calling balls strikes, some 50+ year old dork is running on the court, and some poor fucker is running yard after yard to make calls with guys 1/3 his age is beyond me....

I think it is dumb.

I'm ok with not allowing coaches to challenge this but it should be treated as scoring plays. All reviews should come from the booth if necessary. If they did that then we would see more PI calls get reversed.

Should have just got rid of the coaches challenge part.

If you don’t overthink it and constantly focus on the response to your decision then it could’ve worked. If you just use common sense, replay review CAN WORK.

This was the most idiotic thing to review from the get go. Just an overreaction to whiny Saints fans. There is some type of pass interference 10 times a game. The fact that they overturned only the most egregious of calls/non-calls proved they knew they had made a mistake. If you go to replay and replay shows it was conclusively PI it should be called that way, but they knew that would ruin the game even more, so they didn't. Admitting they screwed up and killing this idiotic rule is the right call IMO. Good job NFL of reversing your bad job from last year

the series immediately before the missed call heard round the world. They missed a facemask on Jared Goff. Which would of given st louis 1st and goal. But it wasnt as blatant, so its a nothing burger.

Referees also missed several penalty calls that hurt Rams

the nfl missed a patriots defender ripping a players helmet off by the face mask in the sb against Atlanta, when the ref was like feet away. It couldn’t have been more obvious.

I saw a lot of games and reviews last year.

Lead pipe cinches were ignored and cost a team a timeout when call stood.

Then suddenly one gets over turned and didn't look like it should have been.

They blow them live,just as easy to blow it squinting at a puny screen with every body watching.

That stupid rule added several minutes per game. Total waste of time. I did not see one reversal or any calls changed. It was a joke.

The "whiney" saints fans got screwed by one of the most blatant double penalty plays in nfl history. That same db will be there to screw the cowboys twice next season.
