"The main criticism of this Celtics team is their perceived lacking at the traditional 5 position.

RWIII was maybe gonna be the guy who maybe could have made a jump... we really don't know if he could have showed development over this season, though, because dude has been hurt."

That was the narrative going into the Season.

He was supposed to take a step.

Clippers were going to draft him. But, Dude had some maturity issues.

Talent is there though.

Definitely had some maturity issues coming in... not necessarily a bad guy or anything, just classic immaturity.

Reportedly, RWIII has been doing much better on that front... being on time, being coachable, all that.

I was really excited to see if he could make progress on team defense this year... that was his main weakness on the court. He is big and as athletic as anybody, but he has been out of position too often to this point in his young career.

Boston fans are still waiting to see, though... looks like this season will probably be a lost season. Thems the breaks.

You were not INITIALLY saying Williams > Gasol.

That wasn't your argument at all. You were simply listing games lost for rotation guys on YOUR ROSTER.

Maybe Thies, Williams wouldn't crack the rotation for other teams.

But, they were expected to be factors on yours.

I never said I didn't compare them whatsoever.

The issue is @dtgold88 tried to make it sound like I talked up RWIII somehow.

That's a total, total misreading. I never talked up Robert Williams.

Rather, I talked down Marc Gasol.

My point to folks like @raptorlife4 is Marc is clearly on the downside of his career... can't think and talk about him like it's some other year. And I stand by that point.
