Thanks NE!

Last year we had a great JAN/FEB...played every weekend in FEB actually.

I played a couple of rounds the week we were closed between Xmas and New Years...neither were sub 90...92, 94 iirc.

This weekend looks iffy for Sat...60s but 70% rain, Sun is much better but I will probably be watching NFL playoffs unless we can get out early.

We're getting up near 60 tomorrow and I know that Joe and Phil will be getting out. I'm 10 days post surgery and I'm really close to being able to swing and hit a ball so I'm a maybe. I'll prolly join them anyway and just quaf a few brews out on the course!

60s in NE? No wonder we've got some guys calling for low 70s tomorrow.

Sounds like a nice day to quaf a few brews. Don't be tempted to do too much.

Wow, it hit 65 yesterday...the wind even felt warm. 11 days after carpal tunnel surgery I was striking the ball like a champ. No pain and I was killin' it!

We played 9 holes and then I had a wedding to attend. We're heading back out today although it's gonna be windy.

Add that to the lost of private club benefits. The muni courses are all closed and shuttered. Private courses stay open all year 'cause they're not collecting green fees and the general public can't be allowed for free...members treat the course as if we own it.

62 yesterday. Career low. Birdied 4 of last 5 in 30+ mph wind and rain. Had to hit a 6i on 17th hole straight downhill from 135 it was blowing so hard. Felt like the old man in Caddyshack having the day of his life in the elements.

62 for me yesterday too! Of course, that was just the temperature but we got to knock it around another 9 holes. As long as the planet is burning up, we may as well enjoy the immediate benefits!

Global warming....Sat ending up 68 but a rain out and windy, actually so warm we has some tornado activity in the area...Sun was just about as nice...sunny and 65, got in 18 at the home course....wet, cart path only, but there were enough dry spots to take relief if you needed it...44-42...made very few par putts 3 to 6'.

JAN golf...I'm happy.

We're all on temp tees and greens but I'm really hitting the ball solidly~

Now, a deep freeze for a coupla months and season will be here before we know it!

The deep freeze is not all bad...it's gotta kill off some critters or at least stunt them for a few months.

We've had damn near Indian Summer weather most of the week, mid 60s mot of the week...Rainy Sat on tap, then chilling down...high 40s into next week, then a warming trend by next weekend...low 50s...but it starts out in the 30s.

We're gonna get some snow this weekend so that'll set us back. No golf for a while but I am psyched that Monday, I'm taking my 1974 Saab 97 to the restoration place. Can't wait to drive it to the course this summer!

It's been a rough start to the year weather wise. Only 1 2020 round so far.

But...Sunday is projected to be 60s...probably more importantly the overnight low is supposed to be in the 40s...if so it'll warm up enough for me to get in 18 and get on the grill before the game.

Sunday was a windy day, but temps in the high 50s, and we finished in the low 60s.

Home track

40 - 47

The snowman on 18 was the worse hole...damn near hit the tee ball OB...but it was in (and I still made an 8!!!)

Had two punch out routes...I took the more aggressive route (gaining about 50 yds or so on the more conservative punch out route)....needless to say, I wasn't able to pull off the shot, hit a tree, ball now in a worse lie, took 2 more shots to reach the fairway (still 180 out) 5 just short, chip on 6, two putts.

Won the front, lost the back, but my birdie on 17 gave me a big enough cushion to survive the 8 on the last and still take the overall.

It got up to 50 here today so I grabbed the sticks and headed out to knock it around. Hit it ok but Phil and Joe couldn't make it so I played alone.

Caught up to some nice older gents on 18 and we talked for quite a spell. I told them I was a 3rd year guy. One of them first joined the club in 1979. and his older buddy who was with him has only been a member for four.
