Seems odd the Saints would have called on him since I don't see him being an upgrade over Brees at this point in their respective careers. If I'm going with an old vet I'd rather go with the guy that's been in my system for years upon years.

Washington seems odd as well but it is Snyder so it's not crazy either.

Rest make a certain degree of sense since they probably the Raiders, Chargers, and Colts probably feel they could compete with an upgrade at QB.

hes been an Upgrade on Brees only for small stretches

‘Zero’ Chance Tom Brady Stays With Patriots, Linked to Raiders, Per Analyst

Analyst: No Chance Tom Brady Stays With Patriots, Linked to Raiders | Heavy.com

Tom Brady added a lot of fuel to the fire in terms of free agent speculation when he decided to chat it up with Raiders owner Mark Davis while attending a UFC fight in Las Vegas on Saturday. The future Hall of Fame quarterback will be entering free agency for the first time in his career and it’s starting to look like a real possibility he could leave the New England Patriots.

Even though he’s 42-years old and coming off his most disappointing season, there will likely be many teams interested in his services. Strong quarterback play is hard to come by and it might be worth the risk for a talented team to take a chance on Brady. James Stewart on Felger & Mazz at 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston “has a person who [he] trusts that is connected to Tom Bracy” who dropped some revealing information about Brady’s eventual free agency.

“Vegas, LA Chargers, Saints, [Indianapolis], Washington have all called on Brady,” host Michael Felger said of Stewart’s report.

I keep seeing Chicago come up a lot in this thread? Are they really that close to being a contender and would they really be a good fit for Brady?

Looking into it Tom going to the Windy City wouldn't make much sense for either party.
As much as I like Brady he's coming off his worse season, yet he will command a high salary. He's not going to give a hometown discount to his new team, if he does in fact go to a new team.

Very best case scenario for the Bears is it turns out like Brett Favre going to The Vikings? Best case. Because all of their cap space will go into #12 and then it will be tough to rebuild or put a proper team around him. And if he struggles or has an off year the entire team will collapse. Even when he had an off game in NE Bellicheck was able to get around it because of his coaching genius and the Midway Monster's coach is no BB.

Best thing the team can do is go with another veteran QB like Mariota, for example or in an extreme route offer up their 2 second rounders and maybe a future pick for next year, get into the first round and get a QB from there. Selling the house to pay mortgage seldom works out.

I guess the idea would be they have a top 5 defense and if they can get him some help he can make their O at least respectable, better than Trubs.

He's just playing the game for his last contract IMO....There is no better opportunity for him to win now than with the Pats, and Tom is all about winning now.....Plus it would be a mountainous change after all these years in 1 system unless he takes Josh with him or goes to Detroit if Patricia is still there....I think he gets a 2 yr deal with an out for the team after the 1st yr with big upfront cash....

Signing a 42-year-old has-been would be stupid for any team other than the Patriots. He is beloved in NE. He is hated almost everywhere else.

If he goes to Vegas, he will get booed out of the building after they go 0-2.

Brady should hang it up, but I doubt he will.
Dude, you're trying to talk logic to a bunch of sycophants. Even after he's exposed and humiliated they'll have a thousand excuses for why it's everyone's fault but his.

He'll try to get carried by the Chargers and one-up Mahomes at the same time. You know it to be true, Hammerdown.
Pleeeeeease tell me you're not putting Tom Brady in the same sentence as Patrick Mahomes? Please? :L
