Eh, Cincy, TCU, and Boise State weren't worthwhile that year. Florida made Cincy look like a mid-major.

The best 2 teams played for the title that year. I have zero doubt in my mind.

He has burned my ass on that several times but for some reason I can never retain the information. I also conflate the seasons from longer than say the last six or seven years and make myself look like the ass I am. I should know to check the seasons from back then instead of relying on my known faulty memory so I must blame all y'all for that.

A lot can happen, but every team has glaring questions at the least. And we don't yet know the order of games and when byes fall which will also matter a lot.

Almost every start of the season has me putting a range from 1-6 losses for Auburn without being able to realistically say we should only lose these specific game(s). We have done better and we have done worse but I cant remember the last time I had any confidence in how the season would unfold for us.

I know, and top conference teams also. The main point was that the CCGs already limit the # of undefeated teams. Before those, it was possible to have more than 1 undefeated team from the same conference because of unbalanced schedules.

No, sometimes the other team is as good as you are and a break here and there determine the outcome.
