Congrats on the handed game, Clemson?

At least I’m not a retard from Georgia. I can hold that near and dear

See, you're so frustrated about losing a game fair and square that you mind has gone on a single track and you keep repeating yourself.

It's sad and pathetic, and I don't know why I expected more from your fan base.

OSU- The Florida of the Midwest.

Retard from Georgia you’re still here. You need some knee pads too? Wouldn’t want you to strain your knees gagging on the long hard one of Clemson.

Unoriginal and makes you look more pathetic than before, which is quite the accomplishment really.

Being a retard from Georgia isn’t very original of you. Lots of simpletons there.

Since you keep repeating "retard from Georgia" over and over again, on multiple threads, and seem incapable of making a legitimate argument or saying anything else, if anyone here is a simpleton, it's you.

Here's the difference: If instant replay existed back then, OSU would've won the game in regulation instead of needing to go to OT at all.

That call tonight literally changed the entire complexion of the game and gave Clemson life with great field position on a drive where OSU earned the 4th down and very long punt.

Again, very different circumstances.

so you are saying if they had instant replay and made the right call OSU wins in regulation. Now that they have replay and are able to correct mistakes, OSU lost in regulation

I like all the idiots defending the stupid targeting rule. It’s fucking football. Sorry pretty boy ducked his head into the defenders helmet.
Lowering your head while tackling is what made it targeting. No mattering what you say to defend it, thats what the rules say.

Ohio State bailed them out. If you want to point fingers.

Point at Wade for leading with the crown of his helmet. Getting ejected and giving Clemson life in the 1st half.

Point at the guy who ran over the punter of Clemson and extended a Clemson drive.

Point at Chase Young for disappearing in the game.

Point at the offense for failing to score a TD in the red zone 3 times in the first half when they could have put the game away.

Point at Dobbins for dropping that screen pass that likely would have been a TD.

Point at Olave for running the wrong pattern on the last interception.

Some OSU fans keep looking for someone else to blame, but they made mental mistakes they didn’t make all year long, in the biggest stage of their lives.

OSU looked like the better team, but Clemson looked like the team who had been there before.
I won't disagree with most of this, except about Young. He played a hell of a game. He was constantly in the backfield, and he clearly altered a ton of Clemson's plays.

You're right about Dobbins, despite how great of a game he had. He dropped two TD passes that would've made the difference.

At the end of the day, you're right - OSU looked like the better team for most of the night. The thing is, neither team played great. However, only one of them was on the receiving end of several debatable calls. It is what it is.

The one thing I'll take out of this is that OSU is in an amazing spot with Ryan Day. He did an amazing job the entire season and surpassed all expectations.

The Miami game featured a play that - in two ways, both in a horribly missed holding call and a catch that was ruled incomplete - basically everyone agreed screwed OSU out of the chance to kill the clock in regulation and win 17-14.

Last night featured a play that was overturned that even an experienced referee who interprets football rules for a living (among many, many others) said was horribly mis-managed by the replay booth.

Glad to help clear this up for you.

The Buckeyes got robbed...

He took 4 steps with the ball....that's possession. Then he fumbled it.

Cost the Buckeyes a TD! They lost by 3....

While I agree he's done a good job, one would also have to note that it isn't like he had to deal with a trainwreck or anything close to that. The cupboard wasn't bare by any means.

Of the four coaches in the playoffs this year, Day and Riley took over programs that were in good shape. Cookie Monster and Dabo's were in the toilets, but they weren't in as good a shape at OU and tOSU IMO.

Why does one have to note that? Tons of coaches have taken over talented teams and done significantly less than Day did. He's the reason we have Justin Fields, and without him we likely aren't even winning the B1G East, let along all but punching a ticket to the National Title game. He also corrected a lot of Urban's mistakes (mainly, the defensive coaching staff) to take a mistake-laden team from 2018 and turning them into the team we saw this year.

Also, Dabo took over Clemson over a decade ago. It's not like he just took over the reins a couple seasons ago. He's a phenomenal coach, no question, but this has taken time.

You're taught at a young age to put your shoulder into a ball carrier. Craning your neck backwards is unnatural. When you're running at a full-on sprint and the QB crouches down, there's nothing that could be done differently. It was a horrible call that completely changed the game.

Believe it or not, when I was growing up, you were taught to drive your head and then your shoulder into the ball carrier.

It's just natural to protect your head and face when being hit, so the ball carrier lowers his head. You don't think about it, it just happens. Something has to be done about this rule.

Anyone still bitching about the targeting call needs to get a grip.

Bitch about the rule itself, fine, but it was the correct call by the rule.
The problem was he was treated the same exact way that the OU player was treated, even though one was clearly targeting and an attempt to hurt the other player while the other was a bang-bang play with no intent to harm that wound up incidentally being helmet to helmet, and on the QB no less. If Wade made that exact same hit on Etienne, there's no penalty at all. Lawrence should get an Emmy for his acting job, because without it, it probably doesn't get called either.

You can hate the rule, but the penalty was in-line with the rules of the game.

they should just start calling an old penalty. Call it spearing, which is leading with the crown of your helmet. The rule has been I. The books for decades, just call it and give the 15 yards

They won't because of all the long term effects of getting hit on a consistent basis in the head. Clemson may have won, but Trevor Lawrence took a hell of a beating in this game.

So you aren’t denying at all that you are indeed, a retard from Georgia?
