There was a big storm that rolled through today and lightning struck near my house. The end result is that a tornado siren malfunctioned and has been going off for about 45 minutes solid. This has been a great day.

I have said since mid-season that the only team that could beat Ohio State was Ohio State. They tried really hard to beat themselves against Wisconsin. They may succeed tonight.

I was talking to Droider. He has LSU, OSU and Clemson. Shockingly, they are the three teams still in it the playoffs
How is this shocking, reality is he dislikes about 10 teams. He's that kind of pheg

Lawrence didn't initiate, he ducked down which lead to it,
 Wut? That’s certainly one way to spin it.

The rule itself serves a valuable purpose but they should be as clear as possible on what constitutes a violation. And a player should only miss the game in which it occurs. You want to punish a team to discourage it it should be in the game where the penalty occurs. They shouldn’t have to sit out the first half of a game where it doesn’t occur.

My biggest gripe about that call is that Lawrence had established himself as a runner 3 times prior to that during the same drive and he was the one who lowered his head in that sequence. Bullshit calls happen in every game though, right now GamesWithBullshitCalls has a commanding lead over GamesWithoutBullshitCalls.

i hate when people claim the refs changed the game when they didn't

OSU didn't tackle for shit following the play and they only have themselves to blame
It was a bullshit call. Period. It changed the game. Even though I thought LSU a better team, call after call (or noncalls) ensured Oklahoma had no chance at all. I turned that sorry game off before half. No way playing a better team you can overcome repeated shitty ref calls.

Both games make a definitive argument for professional refs.

Both games have become jokes.

BTW, best of luck in the Natty.

I'm not arguing in favor of the rule. I don't like the rule either. But it is a rule, and was correctly called.

And FTR, if OSU wins, the ejected player will be able to play the entire NCG.

Every OSU player should punch Tom Rinaldi in the face as they come out onto the field.

Drive by post .....

targeting call - gamechanger. One of worst I've seen. One in earlier game was what a targeting is. Launched himself into head. Uncalled for. Lawrence ducked. What's he supposed to do?

Dobbins reversal - correct call. Have to finish catch all the way through.

Day message needs to be simple. Remind them they are winning and outplayed them for 25 minutes. First drive is huge.

edit - as others have said, OSU D still could have done their job after the call.
