Oregon will most likely win the rose bowl, instead of getting smashed as a #4 seed. Either way, if you can't beat Auburn you don't belong in the playoffs.
See this guy gets it.

Y'all keep bringing up SOS like the committee members understand that silly matrix, much less uses it.

It's a beauty contest. That is it. Nothing more....
They to to the SOS if one of the ugly girls is a contender! If they are pretty, they say piss on SOS.

Agreed. Strength of schedule metric is nonsense. How do you decide which conference is better between the big 10 and SEC when they only had 1! Cross conference game all season. Purdue/Vandy. The committee is literally guessing who deserves to be 1 between the 3 undefeated teams
:dingdingding:
You can't. The "perception" is the B1G is the strongest and the ACC is the weakest this year. While the B1G may very well be stronger than the ACC, I'd bet the difference isn't as much as perceived.

Baylor wont be top 10 if you beat them again. But the point is the same. You feel great today knowing a win gives you a good shot to get in. You feel that way, in part, because Oregon has 2 losses. The loss they couldve avoided is Auburn
Why not? They are one spot worse than OU. If they were within one spot of OU before the game and lose a close one, they are the same team after the game as they were before the game.

Auburn should play in the pac-12 title game until someone from the pac can actually beat them.

Scheduling Auburn wasn't the problem, losing was.

True. If they didn't blow it against Auburn, then Oregon is surely in the CFP.

That's a big maybe. Oregon bounced back quite well after the loss to Auburn. The late loss to Arizona State is what sealed their fate, though.

Meh, Oregon knows they need an out of conference game like Auburn to strengthen their resume if they ever hope to get in with one loss. The Pac-12 is just too weak
