There many things that are hinting this could be the case...
1. Bogdan will be a free agent next season and he declined extending for the Kings.
2. Bogdan wants to be a starter and then at his 27th year of age, wants to be a starter on a contending for the title team.
3. The Bucks are among the few teams that can pay for Bogdanovic and can give him a good contract extension for the following four seasons.
4. The Kings can't retain Bogdan without moving into the lux tax in the following couple of seasons.
5. Bogdan can't be traded to a team he doesn't want to be at, because he will then refuse to extend his contract during the following off-season.
6. The Kings can still fight for the 8th playoff seed in the West, but need more good players to achieve it and the Bucks have exactly what the Kings need to spare.
7. Other than strengthening up for this season, the Kings will want to advance their future potential and the Bucks have that to offer too.
This would have excellent chances to work:
Kings receive: Wes Matthews, Ersan Ilyasova, Jaylen Adams + a 1st pick (from Pacers No15-17)...
Bucks receive: Bogdan Bogdanovic, waive Cam Reynolds from the 2-way roster spot and re-sign him to the empty regular roster spot after the trade, sign (and trade) Jaylen Adams from the Wiscosin Herd to a 2-way contract and also sign Rayon Tucker or Jemerio Jones, or Luke Maye on the empty 2-way roster spot after the trade.
