I can never get a read on the Browns, but no doubt keeps the season alive with a W which is certainly a strong possibility. Agree with your assessment, though.

D for us will be huge. Steelers look pedestrian on offense. Problem is, so did Denver.
itll be interesting tonight thats for sure.

I think we definitely have to say to this point...Draymond Green is one of the worst contracts in the NBA with his extension.

John Wall
Chandler Parsons
Nicholas Batum
Hasaan Whiteside
CP3 (at least he is playing and somewhat productive, ^^these guys aren't)
Draymond Green
Blake Griffin
James Johnson
Gorgui Dieng
Steven Adams

I guess you could add a couple or drop a couple but that would pretty much be my top 10 in no specific order.

This year? Absolutely. Next year? Depends on the health of Steph and Klay.

Draymond has always been a glue guy, but unfortunately for him there's no glue needed with this squad. Just like individually Iguodala wasn't "worth" his 17M a year he was getting the last few years based on production, but his value wasn't measured simply by that.

But here's another question...based on what we're seeing Draymond do this year, as opposed to other years, does it make Steph's importance to this team more significant? Or do you see it as diminishing Draymond's abiliyt?

Yep...will either get hopes up with a win or it's season over.

You ain't kidding. Big game for the Browns tonight. Tired of always losing to those damn Steelers.

Yeah Steph's importance has always been high but I have said before I think Klay (while he isn't the best player on the team) is pretty important as well. I honestly think they need Steph AND Klay but overall I do agree Steph's importance to the team is more significant for sure.

I think Draymond's performance has a lot of factors at the moment:
1. This might be a lame excuse but I think he knows this team sucks. Really lame excuse though bc he hasn't been good.
2. His ability does thrive off Steph and Klay bc what Steph and Klay do great, he is the perfect glue guy as that 3rd guy. He just thrives under that role. He isn't going to be a good player on a bad team bc he isn't helping that team.
3. Another reason I think this contract will be bad, but even when Steph and Klay comeback is bc for what he provides on the court...age isn't going to do him any favors imo. So I think he is the opposite of Klay or Steph, where these guys if they stay healthy can play for a long time.

part of it just may be diminishing skills with Draymond too- not even so much the loss of guys around him.

He was never an A+ athlete to begin with.

Very fair assessment. Draymond is 29 right now and his contract takes him to 33.

It really depends on the health of Steph and Klay and also what the Warriors can do to reconstruct the roster. Draymond's play just might fall of a cliff, it's entirely possible. That's why I was a proponent of the W's trying to get Drummond prior to the season. Having a legitimate center should help ease Draymond's work load and preserve him.

Also one other thing is that when he's playing right now, you would never guess he wasn't playing with Steph or Klay. I think Kerr has to figure out a different way to utilize him. Or maybe he just doesn't have the skillset required to be utilized different. I'm open to the idea of either one.

But at least what we do know is that his maximized potential is as a glue guy and not a focal point.

Could be. I don't think it's necessarily a diminishing skill set per say, but his strengths aren't suited to his role with this particular squad of guys.

That's likely the bulk of it.

Some guys can fit anywhere, in any scheme. Dray isn't one of those guys. Part of the reason he works well with the Warriors is because of how they move the ball.

He's really good at keeping the ball moving, playing the inside-out game, setting picks, taking advantage inside when teams have to start doubling Steph and Klay and hitting the occasional 3.

This team doesn't have guys that fit with that. So sometimes it's almost like he literally has nothing to do.

Agree...but a guy like, say, Kevin Love could join this team and put up 20 and 12.

I kid...I kid.

Kris Middleton's production has dropped after signing that big contract.

Only time will tell but it looks like he is about the same this year but more efficient....but with contracts going up and supermax we will only see more of these bad contracts.

Both Green and Love would fit with the Clippers.

So, buy em out and send them my way.
