He had a chance to play in Denver. He turned Elway down.

(Yes, Elway wanted to bring in Kaep. Shows just how much he knows about the QB position in the modern NFL.)

Elway contacted the Niners to try to trade for Kaepernick during the 2016 offseason, one year before Kaepernick became a free agent. IIRC, he asked Kaepernick to take a salary far less than what the Niners would pay him for the 2016-2017 season, so he understandably didn't agree to that. And who knows if the Broncos would have kept him after the 2016-2017 season? He would probably be in the same position that he is in now, with no teams having made an offer to him since he became a free agent in 2017.

He was also scheduled to work out with Seattle in April 2018, but it was canceled when he indicated to the team that his flag/anthem protests (while at work) may continue.

Kaepernick has made this bed. The people who say he "deserves" a job in the NFL are off base in my view, and the 1A does NOT give someone the right to behave however they want at work and/or while representing their employer(s).

He'll be the best looking Cowboy's Cheerleading in the last 30 years.

The NFL should stay far away from this racist.

Fuck you. At least we’re not about to spend 35 million a year on an average QB. We will probably spend significantly less on a shitty one.
Your gonna either resign a trash QB or let that trash QB you traded up to pick walk away for free.

Remember when we all ripped the Bears draft? I do.

My last comment on this thread.

Elway tried to trade for him when he was still a 49er and asked him to take a cut in pay as well.

Kaepernick said no. And this was even before the kneeling thing started.

Over and out.....
Yes! Dear god thank you. You know how many on this board sent that.

I also see everyone of the usual suspects are not here yet.

You still do. At least we saved ourselves from further scrutiny by trading for Mack. Still better than giving Dak 35 million a year.

I don't think the NFL actually has a rule prohibiting kneeling. I think the current policy says that players "should stand." The NFL tried to put in a new policy last year that would mandate standing, but it got shelved.

Just how long are we going hear about this guy getting back into the league? Not going to happen. He’s kaput, done, finished and not deserving of all the attention.
